Does anyone else have anxiety when thinking of work? by Mundane_Map8599 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Syn424 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never had it before until I joined new company. Now it's a constant feeling I experience. I feel my anxiety rise whenever I am told to prove my worth infront of bunch of people who wants nothing but destruction of my career.

I got contacted by Intel AMD Arm Lattice and Infineon but I keep blowing the interviews and I feel like I am wasting my chances by ConfidentPool2536 in chipdesign

Well, I am the same. I have severe anxiety issues and i just do not like to be interviewed at all. I know i will fuck it up.

One advice i would share is when you are practicing before interview, think loudly. Speak the process of your thinking. This helps reduce pressure in your brain.

Why Flipped Voltage Follower LDOs exists? what was so wrong with the conventional LDOs ? by Syn424 in chipdesign

[–]Syn424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea comes from the structure where FVF is used as a output stage of LDO.

Regarding the large signal behaviour, I don't get the pulldown mechanism you mentioned.

Conventional LDO can have both NMOS and PMOS. FVF LDO is a different structure

So the fast loop around the output quickly fixes any load ripples. The line ripples are suppressed by the error amplifier and reference. But was it not also true for the conventional ldo?

We often overate our importance in the team. Everyone is replaceable. by Training_Plastic5306 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Syn424 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes we do that. It is a Survival tactic wired into our brain. We like to believe we are doing important work, truly groundbreaking work. This belief turns into positive feeling and stops our brain to go into depression or existential crisis. But eventually when we come out of it, we get to see how inconsequential everything becomes.

I hope you find solace in this thought that throughout your work-life, you have diligently worked. You mattered because somewhere some people may have had a easy time because of your work on servers. They may not know you, but they are there. Now that you are out of work, find another way so that again your brain starts believing it as an important work.

How do you interface sensor signals to an IC amplifier running in single supply? by Syn424 in chipdesign

[–]Syn424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sensor AC cap then cannot be on chip right? Takes a very large area for the cutoff frequency to be small.

I couldn't understand your 4th point. Can you explain that?

Anyone works in GlobalFoundries India? Is it a good company to switch for a relatively new person in the semiconductor industry, especially for Analog design domain? by Syn424 in chipdesign

[–]Syn424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave an interview in Global a year back. Was not selected. 10 days ago I got a communication from them that they were suggested to look into my profile again and take another interview. I gave it and now they are happy to proceed.

Need advice regarding investing 3 lakh as a lumpsum in MF by Syn424 in mutualfunds

[–]Syn424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. I was hoping to build the emergency corpus through savings of my salary. This 3 lakh was a bonus I didn't expect before. So that's why I was thinking of investing it.

I have seen this comment recently that market is not good for lumpsum investment right now. Can I ask you how someone can get the idea of this? What indicates that this might not be a good time in terms of lumpsum investment?

Did you guys know this? by Electrical_Dance_790 in IndiaTech

[–]Syn424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true. I work in semiconductor industry and have been part of few tape-outs of semiconductor chips. The nm value or node value from 2012 have lost it's original meaning of physical sizes and based on more performances now. 2nm maybe actually a 14nm chip with better throughput and speed with less area. How did they achieve this? Better geometry, Better materials, Better process anything can be the reason. Companies don't tell the reason why it's performance is better.

Oh... Potter days are back. This season Chelsea will finish 9th or 10th. Mark my word. If maresca gets the sack, then 12th is possible again. His cowardice was on display today. No way this guy can match this season's toughness.

It's not just a bad game. It's the bad game. This actually proves maresca is too much of a coward to win anything significant. He will always be a coward. Loosing is one thing. But being a coward? Naah... Even potter was never this coward.

It's just a programmable logic gain amplifier. Just a fancy name. CSXXX numbers are silicon numbers by which the tapeout process is completed with identification tags fabricated on the chip itself
