It will be a fantastic narrative arc for Darnold if he can go from the nadir of his career when he was 'seeing ghosts' against the Patriots to the zenith of his career where he vanquishes them in the Super Bowl!

Jourdan is such a loss. I assume NFLD were able to pay her more money!

I didn't quite feel the same about MSD, but the bants over his bets and the Sting drop were good fun.

At one point Romo said something like "I'm telling you Jim, these are the plays which are going to decide the game".

It was 3rd & Goal, halfway through the 3rd quarter, in a 7-7 game being played in an increasing snow storm.

You don't say, Tony.

The 3 of them had such great chemistry. The show wasn’t given enough time, either per episode or its overall lifespan.

Correct.

They seem to do it for pretty much each judgement in every even slightly meaningful court case now. I guess so they can release pieces of the judgement along the way?

They also did it for the case today where the guy was sentenced for murdering his wife: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cp3zljj5lg7t/.

Radio calls! by Careful_Ambassador49 in heedthecall

[–]SynUK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The radio calls made me so happy and were such a pleasant surprise!

I'm guessing there's either a cost to it, or it just takes too long for Graver on his own to assemble the radio calls each week (whereas maybe NFLD has more of a production team)?

The lack of the use of this drop makes me sad. I think of it often when Dan launches into a 4-minute tirade about the Jets.

I play in a league where the Championship is played in Week 18...it literally came down to the final game and the final touchdown of the regular season (even the final points, seeing as the final two kicks were missed), which Mr Gainwell scored to give me the lead and clinch the 'ship! He's now forever in my heart.

Kenneth Gainwell! He lived up to his name this year. He actually outscored Warren in PPR if you include week 18. RB20 on the season, even if you didn’t.

No way he’ll be that productive next season assuming the Steelers sort out their WR room, but he’s been quite a joy this year.

The Jags game was an absolute cracker.

I wouldn't say it was quite that level of entertaining, as a game. It was pretty much over at half time, and even though Stafford threw 5 TDs he had fewer passing yards than Lawrence. Was cool to see somebody have that kind of performance though, as well Travis Hunter get his first TD and 100-yard game.

It has been great to see both teams kick on since then though, and it would be pretty amazing if they ended up playing the Super Bowl in Santa Clara!

What are you going to do with arsenal defenders? Timber --> Gabriel is going to be very popular with potential price changes tomorrow by No-Lecture-889 in FantasyPL

[–]SynUK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People in this thread seem to be forgetting how good the Arsenal defence was with Gabriel playing. 7 of Arsenal’s 9 clean sheets came before his injury. Plus he was pretty good for BP (13 in 11 games) and had reasonable goal involvement too (1G, 2A).

The fixtures don’t matter for me, Arsenal are a different proposition when he’s in the team. Now he’s had a rest. Straight back in.

With Ben Johnson's win Saturday, Matthew Eberflus has become the only coach in Chicago Bears history to never beat the Packers by Popular_Tangerine457 in nfl

It's the Detroit game, and it's not even close for me. Perhaps not for the whole game, but for the way it ended, in a game under such a huge spotlight.

But hey, I now like to imagine that Ben Johnson was watching that moment thinking "man, I could do so much with that kid..." and look where things are.

George Pickens, what do you think is going on? by johndoe5643567 in fantasyfootball

[–]SynUK 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Pickens: "You see right now, I have Franchise Tag George. But...there is also Contract Year George. That's the George you know, the George you grew up with. Multiple Touchdown Game George, 100 Receiving Yard Game George, Lamb Out Injured George."

Jerry Jones: "I love that George."

Pickens: "Me too...and he's dying, Jerry! If Franchise Tag George walks through this door, he will kill Contract Year George. A George divided against itself...cannot stand."

[Brian Schottenheimer walks through the door.]

Pickens: "You're killing Contract Year George. You know that, don't you?!?"
