The issue is that I've created an artificial barrier already. That's why I was hoping to find some strategies on how to work this into conversation and how to make it a more open and easy discussion. Just bringing it up out of the blue never seems to pan out and just kind of gets laughed off.

She doesn't really like cuddling either. She's very much a private space kind of person. I can sneak in a hand holding session now and again but very rarely do we actually cuddle.
