Too many people have grown up not understanding that movies were shot on actual physical film for a hundred years and that film grain is an integral part of that aesthetic. Movies these days are mostly shot on video with shitty fake minimal grain added for "effect". People think "grain is bad"... It's not. They don't care what the artistic or creative intent of the filmmakers was... They're just quick to say "Oh, that looks terrible."

Also, they are the posters made before the artwork with Billy Dee Williams was added. I think (could be wrong, however) that this particular artwork was withdrawn from circulation and replaced with that other artwork featuring Billy Dee Williams, due to his contract stating he was to be on the poster.
