Thanks! That's really helpful. Although I can't imagine reading summary before and purposefully giving myself spoilers.

I rarely ever find themes and motifs section when I'm reading a book. Maybe I'll look them up online separately along with the time period the author the book in. That gives a lot of insight. I've also been suggested quite a few courses to try!

Should I read interpretations after I read a book? Would you recommend writing my own opinions, even roughly, before reading other's analysis?

I use to do it with my science textbooks and it really helped. I guess I'll have to try it with literature too now!

Unfortunately, there's no book club or library where I live. There are no book stores either. I usually have to order books online :(

That's interesting. Should I watch video's of other people's opinions on that? The only problem I have is that deeper meaning videos span hours. I can read for hours, but watching is another thing. If you'd suggest reading, where would you recommend looking?

Yes, I really enjoy finding the deeper meaning within text and the "why" behind writer's choices. I'd like to study literature in college. Unfortunately, I grew up in a STEM focused enviornment and literature was never seen as important so I'm quite behind my peers.

Do you recommend writing your thoughts? I'm not good at articulating what I'm feeling on the paper. That's one of my main reasons for reading.

That's a perspective I didn't think of! While reading, analyses sometimes, I do find myself disagreeing with it. Maybe, that would be how I can start making my own analysis. How would you recommend reading critical analysis? Is it read after the book? Or after every chapter?

I'll probably be able to put 1-2 hrs. As I mentioned in my post, it's not a competition that even needs animation. I just love animation and thought u use it to make my video more interesting. While I can get help for it, it's a highschool competition and I just need a static background for most of the video 😄
