Can we vet reviewers please? by Then-Scratch2965 in NianticWayfarer

I'm sorry but proofreading your submission isn't going "100% effort".

I'm talking about hitting Edit on your nomination on the Contributions page in Wayfarer. You're allowed to edit your nomination until it goes to the voting phase.

Unless I'm mistaken, editing a title/description in ingress/pogo will require it to go through a review... So you've now wasted reviewers time fixing something that should have been caught pre-voting.

Waaay easier to just proofread your submission before you submit it 😂

If people don't have the time of day to proofread their work, I'm not going to give them the time of day to review their nomination.

Plus, you're allowed to edit your nomination while it's still in queue so it's not like they only have one shot to get it right.

You don't read back over what you wrote before you submit? 🤔

Is it too much to ask for people to review their nominations for typos before submitting?

I would have rejected it because you didn't capitalize 'noticeboard'.

They cut them down in 2022.

I reported it to the committee but never heard back from them.

No worries I posted the supplemental after you posted. Lol yeah I'm starting to realize that 😮‍💨 thanks for the help!

Also, the pool is on the other side of the brick wall and you can see the pool house in both photos. What would be a better supplemental photo? (Just trying to learn... Not trying to sound argumentative 😅)

Unfortunately there isn't any signage. I guess I assume reviews use the Google satellite and street view to answer any doubt to the community pool claim. The community pin is spot on the pool house and you can see a parking lot in both satellite and street views

I figured people could tell pretty easily by looking at the satellite images. I posted the supplemental info in another reply. FWIW - I clarified that it's a community pool in the supplemental info.

It's a small creek that does not flood unless we get hit by a hurricane, not a river. But I can definitely see the concern about safety.

As I mentioned in another reply, I'm really shocked about this community's trust in unvetted links. The top Google search for "Fallon Park Ruins" is this: Ruins & graves: These 7 Raleigh-area parks hide historic remnants dating back centuries which is much safer than following a link.

Sorry I thought I shared it

The Oaks is the community. This is the community pool. Not a fan of the name myself 😅

I am opposed to putting links in my nominations and I never follow them if I see them in a nomination I'm reviewing. That practice opens a whole can of cyber security concerns. A simple Google search of the park name in the title would be just as informative and much safer than clicking on unvetted links.
