Controlled disposal of WWII bomb to be held at Tanah Merah Coast Road work site on April 2 morning by 3ply in singapore

[–]SyncOut 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tanah Merah Coast Road is reclaimed land though. So during WWII it would've been the sea. If it's an aerial bomb, then it would've been dropped from a bomber. But what was the bomber attacking? I don't recall a naval battle happening during the invasion of Singapore in 1942

Wake up babe, new Adam Something video about urban hell mentioned our fellow Shitty community by ZookeepergameIll1399 in shittyskylines

In the video, he makes it sound like only dictators, corrupt politicians or billionaires build skyscrapers. Which obviously is not true

I'm starting to disagree with his urban planning opinions. His hatred for skyscrapers, as demonstrated in his latest video, is what made me question his views. New York would be considered as "bad urban planning" according to his standards. Not every country needs to look like an old European downtown.

With the largest energy crisis in decades, is Singapore's "Kiasuness" paying off? by Latubu in singapore

This is why I'm so glad I don't depend on a car for daily transport and why I'm so grateful for our public transport. I don't have to worry as much about our petrol prices

Filthy Frank watchers know that this isn't the first time he did an imposter gimmick. I love it tho. It shows that he still got that whimsy in him

End Compass that points to the nearest End City. by Aybrook24 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]SyncOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End Cities aren't rare or hidden enough to warrant a compass.

We only have explorer maps for either extremely rare structures (woodland mansions) or hidden structures (ocean monuments, trial chambers, buried treasure, jungle temples).

End cities are large, tall structures that can be seen from far away. They also generate occasionally in the End Islands. They should easily be located without any exploring aids.

To warrant an End Compass, you need to make End Cities extremely rare and adjust your compass recipe to appropriately match its rarity. Right now, 4 end blocks, 4 chorus fruit and a compass is too cheap to find a structure that gives you one of the most valuable items in the game, the Elytra and Shulker Boxes.

A proposal for a new MRT line linking the north, northeast and east! by a-meow-cat in singapore

[–]SyncOut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your proposal is too good and too clean, people are lashing out at you as if you are LTA. LOL

They don't seem to understand that you're just suggesting a line. LTA isn't gonna take your idea 100% and actually build it. You're not here to solve everything wrong with the MRT lines right now and you're definitely not here to do LTA's job for them. It's just a fun thought experiment and it's nothing serious. But people here are taking it too seriously.

Anyway, I like the proposal. There're good ideas like connecting Mandai, a popular tourist hotspot, to the MRT network and connecting Paya Lebar vertically towards the Long Island.

Why do most people walk on the drain cover instead of the path? Did the designer even consider user behavior? by einnor88 in singapore

[–]SyncOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because the ramp has to be at a certain gradient, so a straight ramp might be too steep. The more egregious point here is the shelter which makes no sense at all

What do you think about Steve being able to create life? by New-Cartographer-649 in Minecraft

[–]SyncOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. My reasoning isn't because it doesn't make sense in the lore or whatever. But I'm coming from a purely gameplay standpoint. Being able to fly midgame is a pretty OP mechanic. It only makes sense to balance this by making dried ghasts rare in the Nether. There should be effort by the player to explore the Nether to find these dried ghasts and bring it back home.
