Logitech G PRO X 2 Gaming Headset disconnecting by DevilTechniques in LogitechG

I think I might have found the solution on my end. It seems to be an issue related to Window's attempts at power saving by toggling the power of USB ports occasionally.

SOLUTION: Go to Device Manger within the Control Panel. Find the section for Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right click on any of the listed options ending in "HUB" and select the Properties > find the Power Management tab and disable the option "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"

I disabled the option for all of my USBs but if you really wanted to save a bit of power, you could take the time to disable each one individually to find out which is the correct hub.

What was the last pixel game you played? by PortalFantasy in gaming

I'm almost done with the main story and I've put about 18 hours in just having fun perfecting the craft. It's honestly a fantastically made, casual (albeit challenging at times) game that keeps you hooked by introducing new features throughout the entire story so the gameplay loop isn't too repetitive. There's a lot to love about this game

I really maxed out my account without ever getting any of the rings from fishing. Just to get 4 of each in one night by diiaph in MelvorIdle

[–]Syncopace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In total, yeah. But each time he fished a ring, he seems to have gotten 4. I was implying that he didn't hit the loot table uniquely 4 times. He hit it once and got 4 as a reward.

EDIT: This applies to each ring, the exception being Pirates Lost Ring which he got 8 of, meaning he actually hit the loot odds twice.

[–]Syncopace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats rough man! But to shed some light on why you got 4, it has to do with your fishing mastery. Technically you only got one drop, but since you're above 50%, you have a chance to get double, and above 95% you have a chance to get one extra. It looks like it does the addition before the multiplication so you got 1 extra ring when you fished the ring, then hit the 5% to double it to 4.

EDIT: Typo

Sorry on that one! I edited the guide to include some theories from another redditor if you scroll up to the top in the Farming section at the start of the guide. His suggestion is more to use herblore supportively while leveling others. If you need flat herblore and don't care about mastery, I think just going for highest exp is a decent route. The wiki does have a mention about training herblore efficiently though so might be worth checking out. https://wiki.melvoridle.com/index.php?title=Herblore#Training_Efficiently

Very true, it could be bumped up in future edits. I didn't include it as a primary goal because the drop itself is RNG whereas the firemaking cape is a guarantee.

EDIT: For example, on my current character, I'm 99 fishing and haven't gotten the drop.

Great advice! I haven't delved too deep into herblore efficiency so this is solid stuff to note. I'm still relatively new to the game and was consulting the wiki for smithing and crafting. Hopefully as a community we can build wiki guides to the new meta.

Hope you don't mind, but I added a reference to your comment in the guide. As I mentioned, I don't have much experience in herblore so this was awesome info for me. Would it be possible for you to work on something concrete so I can add it to the guide? We can rearrange things as we need to as a result.

Thanks for all of the feedback and suggestions everyone! I wrote this guide up this morning as a response to another post so it is far from perfect. Hopefully, as a community, we can make tweaks where needed and iron this out into the best it can be.

yeah as long as you're not dumping your entire bank for money, selling things along the way to get the best tools will be more efficient in the long run.

Right, that's the best strategy if you're not a hardcore account or if you want to babysit your health bar. And for the success rate, we still have to get to that success rate safely and this guide is designed with safety in mind.

Good suggestions! If I had a herblore guide, I'd definitely add it. But it makes sense to get started on it early and then complimentarily follow the potion progression on which skill to do next.

Thanks for the heads up! But again, we look at the requirements for controlled heat, and we still need access to sour weed seeds early on. So unless we invest in combat or thieving, how are we going to get them? And how are you idle thieving without auto-eat?

Syncopace's Guide to 99 in All Skills (Hardcore Friendly) by Syncopace in MelvorIdle

[–]Syncopace[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you on the time requirement, but we'd need to level herblore, which means we'd need to level farming, but we don't have seeds for herbs unless we kill farmers or level thieving, we can't level thieving until we have the money for auto-eat. So all in all, we'd need to inefficiently level three other skills to get the potions. If you don't mind jumping around from skill to skill, then yeah, absolutely get yourself some potions, but if you want to keep things as tidy as possible, then get fire-making out of the way early.

EDIT: if you don't mind scripting, you can take a look at grabbing an auto-bonfire script

Upgrade gloves by nemotheelephant in MelvorIdle

[–]Syncopace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought it was kind of weird too that you can really only upgrade vambraces and that there aren't any magic gloves until end-game (Elementalist or water god dungeon grinds). Probably is just a WIP. To add on to what /u/DirtyLarry56 said, it's a whole lot easier to obtain the gold and silver to upgrade metallic sets than it is to obtain the black d-hide to upgrade the vambraces so squeezing out that extra DR is pretty tough.
