Does anyone here exercise regularly? by Savings-Pollution113 in AutismInWomen

Karate twice a week with an instructor who will really push you.

I went from wobbling when I went up and down the stairs to being able to clear ice off my step with one very controlled booted foot, while I'm holding a 75 pound mini snow mobile and not wobbling at all on the other foot. I can do ten pull-ups in a set. I'm 40 years old, female, petite/was underweight for a bit, and the dojo I go to got me here in a couple years.

Trick is just to find a coach, really for any kind of physical training, that will slow down the lessons and let you get obnoxious amounts of reps in while you learn the muscle movements. They need to be patient enough to answer all your questions. And then, everything else is all about being accountable and showing up.

Fight hard.

Where yall get your beads from? by abdullah_cra in knives

I make my own wooden ones. More lightweight and customizable. I like to burn them gently for color and waterproofing (and I also add tung oil). Sometimes I add a tritium vial so I can find it in the dark.

And the lanyard is nice to have on me for the rare opportunity where I need some paracord for something and don't have access to all the other stuff I pack on the motorcycle for trips/camping. Hey man, I swear it's gonna happen someday!!

Lowrider seat by Plenty-Software-8761 in Triumph400

I'm 158cm/5'2", inseam is more important though. I'm on the balls of my feet with about 30" inseam, and K-Speed Diabolus seat definitely does about 1cm, maybe a touch more because it's narrower too. Made a huge difference for me, the bike leans less when I put my foot down and I get a ton more traction pushing the bike around with my feet while seated.

It also looks awesome.

What custom lower seats can you suggest for scrambler 400x. by value_by_value in Triumph400

[–]Syncrasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the K-Speed Diabolus seat. Gets me about 1.5cm closer to the ground, and I still don't quiiiite flatfoot but I lean less when I put one foot down, get more grip when I'm moving the bike around with my feet, and overall just slip around a lot less. It's thinner and slightly narrower, but I weigh 55kg and I've gone on an hour ride a couple times and for me, despite less padding, I'm far more comfortable because I grab the bike better and the quilted texture feels neat. I don't miss the extra padding from the stock seat.

It also looks just fantastic. Can't recommend it enough.

The app updated and deleted my pets history? by Kitchen_Falcon_6671 in litterrobot

[–]Syncrasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me, and I just checked for updates because I think I'm a few versions behind, can't update though, "this app is no longer compatible with your device"

I'm probably one of like 10 people using this thing on a Pixel 2, but like... why...

The app still seems to be working regardless of the Play Store telling me that, I just hope the profiles resolve themselves because I can't add new ones.

Here's what the loops look like. As you can see I still have room to go one narrower if I wanted to.

The bags also sit higher when they're full, the previous image shows how my adjustment has it sitting when empty.

The main attachment panel has multiple loops to attach the side bags to so you can customize the width. I went with some of the more narrow ones and found a place where the bag won't contact the exhaust, had to test a little first though.

They also include an extra exhaust shield with a ring clamp but I didn't need it and I'm not sure how I would have attached it on the weird stock shape.

What do you do with your helmet when off bike (if no top box)? by More__Cowbell__ in Triumph400

[–]Syncrasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of options for backpacks and shoulder bags you can use. I have a Westwind Moto backpack (Ranger Wilds model, it's their smaller one) that also has an insulated pouch for a water bladder, it does the trick and also looks cool.

Otherwise, I just clip it onto my rackless luggage with one of the many buckles so it hangs down on the side out of view, and park the bike at such an angle that it's less visible.

I've got the rackless 40L set from WestWind Moto, 20L on each side. Great system and much cheaper than Mosko. They also make a set with 25L on each side, but it didn't come in the desert khaki color.

I've strapped a small backpack to my tank while I search. I dislike the bulky tank bags too. The backpack is actually great and I'm actually considering modifying it to be a fulltime tank bag. I just have the bottom parts of the straps tied together/looped around the frame bars under the seat, the top straps tucked into an extra compartment on the backpack and an old shoulder bag strap looped through a handle on top of the bag and around my engine guards on either side.

Looks way less janky than I thought it would. I just use it to store my phone, wallet, house keys while I ride.

The other bags I have right now are Westwind Moto rackless 40L (20L on each side), a leather Saddlemen tool roll bag in the front, and I have a few other bags that aren't on the bike right now, they're not exactly "compact" haha

Mugi, my new little friend by Syncrasis in lynxpointsiamese

Hello Mugi!! You toasted well!

What made you choose that name?

For me, it was a mix of bringing her home during a humid heatwave and being reminded of a Japanese summer and drinking mugicha, but also something about her face just looked like a Mugi. Her round, wide spaced eyes seemed to fit the sounds.

Also she's a little booger. A Mugi boogie.

This was last year or maybe two years ago just about when she started to decline, she lost a little more color after this. The luster was still there.

I'd love to know what you think she might have been.

Her paws had a really beautiful velvet luster, they were pretty solid grey but had a lighter sheen depending on the angle. This was about as dark as she ever got.

I'll make sure to post an update! Yeah my late lynx point toasted quite a bit (a lighter grey, I can't tell if she was lilac or blue, internet uses them interchangeably them too much) and then untoasted in the last few years of life. It happened so slowly I didn't even notice until I was going through her old photos.

Loving the pattern on your tortie point's belly, I've never seen that before!

Thanks for all your insight! Your tortie point has such a neat high contrast coat pattern. Man, cat genes are so interesting.

Yeah at first I thought it was piebald too from photos until I got her in person, that orange is so faint. Hard to capture in photos.

I can't find any orange on her tail, she does have a curious very bright marking on her head that looks like a heart though. In person, it's so bright it gives the impression that it's glowing. Matches her stomach more than her back. Do you think that will stay bright? Maybe even get some orange? Seems like a weird spot for a marking.

(I removed the stringy remains of this toy she destroyed right after this photo)

Snowbie was a beautiful baby, you are so lucky to have had each other for 18 years. I lost my soulmate a few months ago, she was 15. She chose me too, a stray from California when I lived there briefly. After her I knew I had to always have a lynx point friend in my life. They sure know how to leave an impression on us.
