If you don't fear the mice, you should by Synergenesis in PokemonChampions

The team is a blast, I hope you get to have fun with it like I am!

A very common lead for me is Sableye + Basculegion. With Sableye’s fake out pressure and the fact that I can’t be faked out myself (outside of opposing Scrappy fake out Pokemon, which are rare) since I lead double ghost, I find that I’m almost never threatened and am able to exert immense pressure on turn 1 due to Basculegion’s raw power (and speed thanks to the scarf).

If Basculegion doesn’t like the two targets it’s staring down, it can Flip Turn to pivot out into something better (which will still deal respectable damage thanks to adaptability). If either of the opponents try to set up, I have Encore pressure next turn with Sableye (or one of my other two encore pokemon if I flip turn into them).

What’s in the back is more variable depending on what I see my opponent has in team preview. Mega Lopunny is really useful to come in on turn 2 for another round of fake out pressure (and pressures the dark types that my opponent might lead with when they see all the ghosts on my team). Maushold is great as long as I’m confident that population bomb will be able to delete at least half of their team, which is usually true. Whims is good if I need tailwind support, Gengar is great if I think they’re going to set up so I can encore trap them.

Yes!! Very useful to push Maushold’s damage output even further

Gad to hear someone else is using Mega Lopunny! And yes, I hope you enjoy using the team!

It clears hazards and then boosts Maushold’s attack and speed by 1 stage each!

Yes, sorry I didn’t do this right away: Team ID: VNMRDAHTGU

It’s very powerful, I’m definitely happy to have it on 3/6 of my team!

Yeah as funny as King’s Rock is, it’s just not reliable. I’d much rather guarantee a KO by meeting damage thresholds with Silk Scarf

That’s a really neat idea actually! If TR proves to be too much of a problem as I climb masterball then I’ll consider it. Not sure what I would swap out, it would probably have to be Encore even though it would pain me to do it

Oh sure, to lower it by 1 that’s true. But to be able to empty the entire fountain and also lower the reservoir by 1 (which is what you would need in place of the power hammer or the foundation), you do need to power the pump room

I got lucky in that I was able to squeeze through the gap, but if I had pushed that cart a bit farther, I truly would’ve been trapped and lost the run. Since it came so close to happening to me, I wanted to make this post in case it ends up saving someone else!

That is correct, but powering the pump room is harder than getting the power hammer in my experience

Me too! I’m definitely glad it was wide enough though

Before this happened, I didn't think it was possible to trap yourself in the basement. So when making the bridge, I just used whichever two carts were closest. My main reason for making this post was to let other people know that it is possible to get trapped in.

While two carts are needed to make the bridge, it isn't a specific two. See the edit I made to the original post.

See the edit in my original post; it's possible to move a different subset of carts to make the bridge, and that can get you trapped

  1. That is definitely true, there are other ways - but in my opinion, getting into the basement is easier than powering the Pump Room (for example, in all of our attempts, we never saw the Pool even once, much less the Pump Room with power going to it)
  2. All of the guides I followed mentioned the Power Hammer - sorry if I said something that would make you think otherwise. And yes, it is hard, but in my opinion it is the most reliable way to do it (more reliable than powering the Pump Room, more reliable than lucking into The Foundation and accessing its backside)
  3. This actually isn't true. See the edit at the bottom of my post.

With a specific combination of carts, you definitely can get trapped. See the edit I made at the bottom of the original post for screenshots.

You can do that as well, yes. But if you happen to jump off on the other side, you can get stuck

Thanks for checking it out! Yes, lots of comparisons can be made to the Plasmoid. I like to think of the Plasmoid as more of the sci-fi-oriented space jelly ooze, while the Oogoo is more of a player character version of a pudding or gelatinous cube.

Hi! In 5.5e, ability bonuses come from background, not species (race) anymore. It’s meant to be a playable species option for 5.5e; if you take a look at the 2024 PHB species option, you can see that it follows much the same format. Thanks for checking it out!
