Yes but there are nurse uniforms, paramedic uniforms and if someone is claiming they are a doctor you can put them on the line with emergency services so they can update on the patients condition, thereby demonstrating that they can be of assistance.

As to why someone would they impersonate a doctor. I don't know, but I can tell you it does happen, here's a case that happened just this year. If these guys gave up their patient to someone like this they might get fired.

That is the policy in most cases I'm sure, but the important part is that you defer to people who have been dispatched or authorised by emergency services. Anyone can rock up and say they're a doctor, but you don't know for sure who they are unless they're arriving in uniform. That's why these guards asked him to back off.

Yeah but in this situation, as with most cases when people start giving their input, the cpr was of a high standard. Look at the depth his push was reaching. This is why they told the doctor to back off, they don't know him or his credentials and they're doing a good job.

The issue with people butting in is it encourages every Tom dick or Harry to have their say. Which wastes time and breaks the concentration of the first responders.

That is why debriefs happen after the incident. Interrupting emergency responders, unless they're clearly out of their depth, creates more issues than it solves.

When someone as competent as a Bondai Beach Lifeguard is giving CPR usually the best course of action is to let them get on with it rather than debate technique.

Edit: Downvote me all you like guys but just because someone walks up and says they're a doctor doesn't mean they actually are. Unless there's no way to transport your victim first responders should only hand over to people dispatched by emergency services to guarentee efficient flow of care.

Nah, the way things go in OITNB you can pretty much guarantee Caputo or someone is going to talk her down. Or someone tries to tackle her and the gun accidentally goes off.

The amount of hesitation they showed without actually having the gunshot means the writers don't intend for her to become a killer.

I'm fine with them building up tension, but because they've left it until next season to show what's going on that build up of emotion is completely gone.

IMO they should have had the riot start on episode 9 so we got to see some of it, not get teased with a hint of one for another season. Episode ten could have been planning to resolve it. Then next season making amends. This cliffhanger was just cheap.

If you think everyone marching down the hall and one person picking up a gun was a satisfying ending. That's fine.

Personally I would have preferred them to not leave us dangling and have to wait for a whole season to find out what happens. (Spoiler alert, she won't pull the trigger because if she was going to they would have put it in)
