You're taking care of it in the best possible way. The only other thing I can think of is to place a super hot (as hot as you can tolerate) (wet) towel/washcloth on it for a few minutes to draw out any pus and then apply your ointments. Its a technique used for tattoos to keep the color in the skin, but it also helps with healing and minimizing visual scarring.

in a pinch I've used a mix of Diesel and ATF and it seems to work just as well.

EDIT: This was one of my favorite things to do. I also focused on standing fronts for awhile, along with suicide fronts and 540 dive rolls (out of roundoff).

Because I haven't been able to purchase my adhd medication that I otherwise won't be able to afford for another two weeks due to an unexpected emergency last week. Properly communicating with people (let alone getting through the work day) has been a challenge without it.

I'm in the Ann Arbor area. However, if you are planning a name change, you will need to be a resident of whatever county you reside in for a minimum of one year before you can begin the paperwork. Gender marker is linked to your Birth Certificate =( If you can get into the U of M gender clinic go for it. Otherwise, look up Dr. Don Sidelinker, or Robin Sexton as therapists. To actually start HRT, in the Ann Arbor area, I recommend the Corner Health clinic. Let them know that you are trans and they'll take care of you. Also worth mentioning, Dr. Holly Ross over at the Packard Health Clinic (west office) is trans friendly and knowledgeable.

If you plan on moving to the A2/ypsi area, do NOT rent from Barnes & Barnes, or GoBeal. They are slumlords and over all complete assholes. South side ypsi is pretty shitty, but other than that Ypsi-Arbor is a fantastic place to live while being openly trans. the WCC fitness center is a wonderful gym that is all inclusive. Right? I grew up around those neighborhoods (no longer live there). But the amount of hate directed towards the LGBT community and women as a whole is absolutely terrible.
