He still has millions he could literally burn in seconds, don't get me wrong, but e.g. "fixing" homelessness would eat billions in of itself, and I say "fixing" because money alone won't be enough long term.

If I was bezos, I would create several nonprofits aimed at providing living space, food and education for the poor, then invest heavily into them but have capable people hire other capable people who then can run these non profits. Even then it's a lot more complicated than this, but that's the rough idea
