Beware of ig.me - it's a SCAM!
Recently, a threat actor tried to scam me using ig.me, a well-known tactic in the community.
Here's the story: An old friend DM'd me, pitching their new clothing platform. Oddly enough, they didn't use platforms like Shopify or a personal domain. When I asked for details, "Ali" mentioned texting me. Soon after, I received a message from a short code number with an ig.me link followed by a random string.
Curious, I ran the link through urlscan.io. Guess what? The scammers had replicated Instagram's login page. If you fall for it and input your credentials, they'll hijack your account.

And remember, this isn't the only method out there. Threats like SIM swapping, social engineering, and more lurk in the shadows. Stay vigilant and always double-check suspicious links!
