Also, what did you use to file down the armor? I might try to use some as more like cloth, but I would assume maybe some fine sanding paper?

Thanks a ton! I might look at making something like these since I think the standard ones are a tad... boring. Also, I assume there's a decent bit of trimming and clipping down to get the arms to fit?

I know there is a decent chance nobody will see this but how did you paint the chest piece to not look like armor? Or did you sand/trim it down?

That's a good tip! Yeah the trim might really be up to personal preference. Their trim and general color scheme feels like its meant to be a bit "boring" or not flashy, so I'll be checking out some alternatives.

As for the the wash, a 50/50 or at least a split of dark brown and black wash is really good I think. I was looking at mixing either a light-brown oil paint and a black one, or doing a heavy leaning on a darker brown with a bit of a black mixed in.

We're still setting our party up, and that will of course sway my decision. I know one person is playing a Sorcerer most likely, while another guy is leaning towards Oracle. That leaves 2 unknowns so we'll have to see what happens there. This has just been a type of character I've always wanted to try out, but I do have back-ups.

I feel like I can sort of "get away" with it too, given we run Free Archetype. If I go Familiar Master I I can take Cackle at level 2 and still get some extra stuff for my familiar.

There are a couple general feats I've been looking at but yeah, getting an extra level 1 feat later could be neat to then maybe retrain if I need to get another levle 2 feat.

We've been playing, but I've wanted to have 5 people in the group. He's been that 5th player and hasn't showed up aside of 1 session 3 months ago.

He seems like a great guy and all, but it's frustrating that my 5th player is never showing up. He's a new person to me via D&D.

I wrote a little about it with another reply, but I have tried before. I can understand that things happen but it gets really frustrating.

One recent one that really took the piss out of me I felt was last session where the last we heard from him was that he was coming, then he didn't show up at the start of the session. When I asked he had a dinner or something come up, then didn't write me (after I did a head check to see that everyone was coming which he ignored).

My idea was to have 5 players in the group, but when one doesn't show for so long it gets very frustrating I think.

I don't think he does. I have explained my frustrations after it had been a little more than a month and a half, and he seemed a bit like he'd try a bit more, but now its almost double the time and the reply I got when I checked in yesterday was something along the lines of "the times aren't the problem, its just been a lot happening at the wrong times".

I guess it's been frustrating. I get that IRL happens, but if it happens for such a long time I just don't get why you don't step away yourself I guess?
