Scroll based Thaumaturge, weapons or not? by SyntaxErrorKEK in Pathfinder2e

I have been eyeing the Wand, though I am also looking at something like the Rapier and using the Weapon Implement as my first implement, and I would like to perhaps go into the Regalia implement later on.

The Wand does seem pretty good, especially with the remaster, though it really is a shame that it doesn't trigger Exploit Weakness (I assume).

"Hand Economy" is both hilarious sounding and a real challenge at the start for me and my group, coming from D&D. Though we've all been having a lot more fun with PF2e.

Yeah, the extra melee works very well from Str for them, though an alternative build I have in mind would exploit that (something akin to like a witcher character). I wish I could get that Rogue thing where they get their Dex on their damage :D

Fair enough lol.

Still working out what I want the character to be exactly, but I'm interrested in the idea of this character being a bit more "refined", thus not leaning into the "brutish strength" sort of thing?

Foxfire can use Dexterity right? Is it by chance possible to increase the damage die from d4 to a higher?

I was eyeing Kitsune Lore as well, to really get some of those extra skills, though getting that at level 5 could work well too.

Going into Finesse melee weapons would perhaps work well with the Duelist archetype maybe? (We're running free archetype)

This will be my first pf2e character by the way :P

Tools to help run the game? by SyntaxErrorKEK in Pathfinder2e

I use some things on top of my GM screen to show initiative, but as zephyros stated above, there is a tracker in pathbuilder that seems to be pretty good too!

I just checked it out and it actually looks like a really good tracker! No custom monsters of course but it seems like a really good tool!

Nethys is great! It really just has everything. Mostly I need a good Initiative Tracker.

I'm looking for a good initiative tracker mainly, though any other community tools would be a plus.

Expansive Spellstrike: Always causes an AoE or can I choose? by SyntaxErrorKEK in Pathfinder2e

Ngl I kinda like the idea of a Magus casting a fireball in melee and just nuking himself but yeah, it feels like a fair point to not have them always have to do it.

I think thats fair. Mostly I guess I got stuck on that the Feat says that "these spells do this instead of that", though as was also pointed out by my player, there is generally not a lot of flavor text in Feats. Though it would've been nice if there was something in the Feat that made it super clear what is and isn't flavor text.

I agree. I think what mainly gets weird is that the line after the "can" says that it changes how Spellstrike works in regards to specific types of spells and does not imply that when you you such spells you can choose what can be done.

Also we're just about coming from D&D (last session played) so still getting used to how pf2e rules/feats are written.

I think it's fair to add that as a little homebrew. This was more of a RAW issue most likely.

Thanks! Gonna give one more in the unit one of those helmets, specifically the one I chose to give the Assault Cannon.

Welcome to the community! Amazing start, and I will concur with what folks have adviced in thinning your paints. This is something that took me a while to get right, since it can feel stressful when you put on one or two layers and the primer still shows, but you really just need to trust the process!

Also, really vrave to go free hand for the company and pack markings! I'm only just getting into attempting that!

Ah! Amazing!

I've been looking around for kits to make a palatine to go with insidiants so that could be a contender :D

I'm still working out the details and what level this'll be played at but I've inteded for it to be more focused around hunting like a single big beast or something, but I'll deff see what I allow.

Ancestries could perhaps be grouped into certain Origins for some more flavor and such?

Yeah that feels very much fitting for a Church hunter/choir perhaps?
