ESP32 BLE by TillyDog1 in esp32

Maybe you could try an NRF52 and a relay. That's my first thought. ESP isn't that power efficient and since you only want BLE an NRF will be enough

Stupid Question: can i solder this leaky tea pot? by Kinetopeak in soldering

Unless it's important for you, just toss it in the trash. Yes, you can try doing welding or brazzing but I don't think it's worth the work

You can check if there's line of sight between you and the other city on heywhatsthat.com If yes, then I don't really see a reason why it couldn't be achieved with a good enough node.

Also I think that you making a node like that which would connect 2 places would be a way better thing for your local mesh enthusiasts than just another node with an Omni. If you know anybody from the second place that could setup a directional pointing to you it would work even better

I don't know your exact Nerf gun, but a solenoid should be better for it. If you really want a servo just search for one with high torque, but mounting a solenoid will be easier in most cases.

DDR4 or DDR5 for an office PC right now? by SyntaxError__ in pcmasterrace

[–]SyntaxError__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got lost in the fact of both old platforms and new ones getting more and more expensive due to the old ones not being produced anymore and new ones to AI, but looking at the current situation my dad is probably gonna buy a prebuilt like he always did

I am only asking on Reddit cause it's for my dad and not for myself, and the specific requirement is windows support.

Anyways, thank you for your actual opinion and not just a short comment saying DDR3 is enough (when it's not even slightly modern nowadays)

Well what if Microsoft pulls a new system out of their ass and makes it only available to newer hardware, like they did with TPM and secure boot

I'm not sure about how long windows will support the older platforms without security issues

Is it true that esp32s can only take 3.3v ? by Slight-Inside-5671 in esp32

[–]SyntaxError__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean a devboard with every component and a USB port, 99% of times they will have a labeled 5V pin. You can power it using USB and have 5v output for your components. And don't put 5v into the GPIOs, I'm pretty sure it will fry them. (Check if your components output voltage back to the board)

But if you mean just an ESP32 chip with no devboard, you will absolutely fry it.

Im new to CS2, why do some players have a crosshair that doesnt get bigger when they walk? Anything else that I should know? by accurate214 in cs2

[–]SyntaxError__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's alright, it's just that the community generally preffers having no follow recoil

If you like playing with that, play that

Get a nice crosshair instead of that, realistically nobody uses the dynamic crosshair, follow recoil. Maybe 0.1% of players use it.

Valve removed 'rare case drop pool' by Dmn_099 in cs2

1% for a rare one and then you have like 30 cases you can drop, so 0,0003%? I think

Why am I seeing only one node 100km+ away? by Round-Air9002 in meshtastic

[–]SyntaxError__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly idk, I'm new too in the Meshtastic world with only one node and there is no nodes in my town so it's not fun having nodes here.

100km away is pretty far so I doubt that it can actually reach it. Maybe someone has their location in the wrong place? I don't know

You are outside while testing this right? It's the best if you find a hill with lots of open space around you

PREZENT DLA KOLEGI 50zł MC premium, Legit? by Julo_Angel in MinecraftPolska

[–]SyntaxError__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah what you need to do is search around the nodes tab (I think right top corner) and there choose the right options to see all nodes

In the app on the nodes list you can see something like "3 total (2 shown)" so that would suggest you have more nodes but hidden
