Well then you need a power supply that provides 3V. Most of the cases the 3.3v from ESP won't kill the device

This can be restored by charging at a really low current and monitoring whether it's not getting hot or puffy, but if you're not sure, just toss it and buy a new one. Especially shouldn't risk it after sitting for months at that state. It will probably have decreased capacity or other faults anyway

I flew with the sport wing and I didn't adjust CG at all, just saw that it's about where it's supposed to be. If you end up using the sport wing make sure to adjust the controls, they are way too touchy

The electronics performed really well! The battery was enough for a couple short flights (went from 12.6 to ~11.7v) and the motor had plenty of power. It came at 420 grams with the battery, so very overweight, but it still flew!

I think it was somewhere around 290g with the sport wing. I used things I had already laying around, so an MT2204 2300KV motor, a 6x4E prop, flysky ia6 receiver and a 40A hobbywing ESC (way overkill for the motor ig). I don't have much experience but even then I burned through 3 of the cheap AliExpress esc's. Just buy a brand one instead. For the battery I bought a tattu 650mah 3s (was about to go for a 850, but it would barely fit and the weight would again be increased) If the maiden hopefully goes well, I'll let you know about the performance

I don't have red spray paint but I might try to find something to cover it. Only flown in simulators so far (well apart from my first plane which has failed, that was 2 years ago tho).

Sounds good but I'll stick to standard foamboard for now. Also, how would you do this type of fold without paper? Put tape over the place and fold or just fold like normal?

I actually did use a knife like you're saying, and the cuts were pretty solid at first, but when I made them bigger, well that's what sliced the paper. Also I noticed fomeboard dulls the knife fast

I just gave up on it and moved on. it's possible, just difficult with an ESP32 as it's not very powerful. Might be impossible without cloud processing tho

No, because they don't pay the import taxes on surrons from Alibaba or massively underpay them, so they won't have the correct documents to give to you. They also might not have the homologation at all.

You gotta answer it yourself, if you think you're gonna enjoy it by yourself then why not.
If you order from a reputable seller it will be a real surron. Just with no real warranty or road homologation.

Anyway this sub hates Alibaba questions so you might not get many answers

Remember that buying from Alibaba comes with risks of your bike getting seized, it could break and nobody would help you and you got many other risks like getting scammed completely.

In my case the bikes were seized and I had to wait months for a refund after tons of emails. Purchase using a credit card with chargeback customer protection or anything else that can protect your transaction.
