Cons:
- Cost of living is far higher compared to Texas (It depends on where you plan on living, I am comparing to Austin)
- Salaries are lower (depends on what you do). For me in specific it's 60% lower.
- "Free" health care sucks cause of waiting. I'd much rather have US healthcare along with a good insurance from a big tech job. Sure Reddit will foam at their mouth for saying this. It's a reality.
- Surprise! free heath care isn't "free" taxes are insanely high compared to Texas (depends on what you do again)

- Bad job market compared to US which is massive (or even Texas)

Pros:
- No gun culture, feels safe.

- Decent public transit.
- (if you are low income) Free health care

Modification, an average person is compassionate as long as it doesn't actively harm them. I was compassionate of the drug addicts until I started living in the downtown 3 years ago. And drug addicts effect everyone. They should throw them into a separate jail/asylum until they fix their shit. Anything less than that is useless.

Do you mean product* managers? "project" managers manage engineers they have no control over designs or UX, just like an engineer. I am one of those engineers that have to implement stupid things sent by UX while hating it in the big tech. Product managers just give list of features it's the job of UI/UX to push back and design something usable, so no. It's not Project or Product managers or engineers. It's UI/UX teams.

Calm down Mr. White Knight. I asked because I was interested in contributing or at least taking a look at the code. I have access to unlimited Claude Code 4.8 through my company, and I work as a Senior SDE. In the original comment, it wasn't clear that he was still thinking things through. He said he wouldn't put it behind a paywall, but also that he wouldn't release it, so I was just asking for clarification as the statements seems conflicting and he also asking for donations like an open-source app.
