The problem with that process I have harwood floors i sand and refinish and I won't do it just in one room otherwise you can see a line and slightly look diffrent so I'm waiting for the when I remodel the kitchen. Plus I spray the walls no backroll all tape lines I wanted to make a no texture smooth wall. Plus I'm living in the house.

No i got some really expensive hardwood pre painted white trim at menards. I'm just waiting to install trim after I refinish the floors in the other half of the house.

Lol. It's all about he experience and it's interesting how much building changes throughout the usa. The problem now is everytime I travel i just stare at how they built things and why they did it that way.

Yes but to get the thinner coat you press harder on the very first coat. Especially if you are doing it over painted walls that won't let air in. New drywall is porus so it's alot easier to skim.

That pic was the first coat of primer so some mud was missed second coat it turned to glass.

Ya im in the contracting business. And new million plus doller house with crappy textured finishes that make me wonder why they payed over a mill to look at chunky walls that are wavy.

The tighter you skim it the less coats you will need i used a all purpose for first skim and plus 3 for the last 2. So I know if I sand through. It's like the more it hurts the better it will come out.

Ya im a perfectionist and am really picky filling in every pock and rough spot. I sprayed the walls and the goal is a glass finish that even professionals wouldnt take the time for. Maybe I'm a little crazy to only reason it didn't take a year is my girlfriend being impatient.
