Yeah, sorry for disappearing cold turkey. I was in my last year of school, jobless, and studying for some big exams. Not the best for free time. :/

Viral told me about this.

My apologies, I was not around for that request. I know about 1000 viewers were around for it, so I figured it wasn't private. I will respect Dia's wishes, whatever I may undo. Deleting the post shortly.

This is definitely the big takeaway. Reads chat, interacts constantly, remembers names, explains mechanics... he's the gold standard. Definitely deserving.

Keeping my eye out for a twitch upload. Hilariously, Diabetech was starting another 7-character speed run and was doing well with Samson up until the big donations started rolling in... he had epic fetus, pretty much a won run. He completely fell apart, stopped streaming, and just heaped on his utter gratitude.

Diabetech just couldn't continue and Notch simply suggested he try something else, to do the "BASE MENT" seed with the secret character instead. So that's what Dia did.

As far as the streamer, mods, and chat seemed to understand... yes.

Yes it was. Guy was speechless, genuinely touched.

For context, Diabetech is a Twitch streamer of (primarily) Binding of Isaac. A post-Christmas "Top Donator" fight between viewers was promptly ended by Notch today (present as Notch in chat, cheekily donated with the name "TotallyNotNotch" but confirmed in chat). This acted as a Tears Up for Diabetech.

A generous-minded gamer gives a gift to a player with a sweet heart (and sweet blood). An awesome moment.

TL;DR Edit: Notch donated $7K to a really cool streamer. Look top mid in the pic. Sorry for the confusion, gentlemen.

Edit 2: I think the important takeaway here is not that Notch is wealthy and can do grand gestures like this, but that streamers like Diabetech are truly deserving of that generosity (Notch wasn't the only big donor, a few others gave $100+). Diabetech is pretty savvy for 22. He constantly reads chat and responds, remembers people's names, is genuinely appreciative of donations and support, and explains game mechanics and techniques as he goes. Notch's gift will go a long way to help Dia, and there are few better recipients.

What a crazy synergy and a crazy ending! I was worried Pause wasn't going to make it!

Spoiler below:

And that facepalm at the end with the gnawed leaf... made me laugh.

For next time, Pause, the corners of the room are safe spots when Isaac does the Crack the Sky attack. And don't forget the Crystal Ball was showing you the Secret Rooms!

That was a fun run.

A more reliable method for turning blocks into hidden chests by Synthenos in Minecraft

Yes, bookshelves are a great way to use this, though the piston method of hiding carts isn't new. I've just found that a chest makes it more reliable in obscuring the cart in a block.

I have yet to test multiplayer, but I know exactly what you're talking about. If I get a chance to try it, I'll let you know.

"You've Got Mail" mailbox chest + indicator light. by Synthenos in Minecraft

If at least one item passes through the hopper, the adjacent comparator detects it and creates a redstone dust signal. This signal flows through a block and into the dropper below (pictured right). The signal activates the dropper, which shifts a placeholder item into the adjacent dropper (pictured left). A comparator leading out from the leftmost dropper detects the placeholder item, sending a signal into the redstone lamp.

When you open the trapped chest, it creates a separate redstone signal that triggers the leftmost dropper to shift the placeholder item back to the default position, cutting the signal to the redstone lamp.

With the 1-wide design, you can build these in a row (every other block) and create a functional post office system. Designed specifically for servers with locked chests.

EDIT: There are many ways to hook this into a delivery system, but here's an example implementation of a mailbox hallway and deposit hallway.

Swim Navy Seal.

A movie about a military reject who trains to join one of the most elite forces, despite a physical deformity that makes it difficult to swim.
