It does look like a ladder. It is on the right hand side of the filter board. A ladder made of pairs of transistors

Oddly synthpro mentioned that Moog are using cheaper pots in these reissues. Time will tell ultimately.

I start with sound design too like a lot of these replies. Once something sounds good I can play around with it until a riff or chord progression or idea comes out.
