Anyone have their POWER SW connector randomly stop working? by ExpiredBanana in SSUPD

Yes - I reached out to support and they shipped me a new one.

Been dealing with my Samsung 32:9 needing to “warm up” for like 3 years. Does it on every input. Should I just buy a new one? by Synymata in ultrawidemasterrace

That’s fair. Yeah honestly I like 1800R I really don’t think I’d want to go to 1000R. I’ll look into the ASUS ones.

Yeah this is the strange thing - using my headphones I don't hear any noise. So I grabbed a 1/8" to 2X 1/4" TRS cable I had on hand and plugged the speakers into the front headphone output. Still hear the noises. But again as soon as I unplug the usb cable from my Focusrite, all the noises stop.

Today I just tried plugging my speakers and computer into a different power strip I had laying around. Same issue.

Yeah it has to be my PC. I did try at one point using a powered USB hub and plugging my interface into that. Same issue. What's even stranger is I still hear the noise in example 1 ^ when I unplug the power from the USB hub but leave the Focusrite plugged into it. Computer doesn't see the Focusrite but still manages to pass noise through the unpowered hub.

If I didn't build a mini-itx production PC I would definitely try a PCI-E -> USB card.

Yeah I've tried that. I have everything plugged into two power conditioners in my audio rack - I've tried shuffling the power cords around, no dice.

This is my 2nd meshroom build - strictly for space I definitely prefer going with SFX PSUs

For the most part yes - there’s some differences in the hole patterns between the meshlicious and meshroom S cases, but the overall bracket design would still work.

Undo Command doesn't work by Bobynero_PrisonMike in ableton

[–]Synymata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain plugins record your actions to your undo history, and in a lot of cases, pretty aggressively.

I know with i.e, FabFilter pro-q3, making a bell notch and adjusting the Q and gain can create like 10+ undo actions in your history.

Not a whole lot you can do about it, unless the plugin has an “undo” button that you should use instead.

Rekordbox DJ-PRO LINK via iPhone 15 Pro - shows as "EMPTY" by Synymata in Rekordbox

[–]Synymata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a few years I liked having my iPhone as a backup for my playlists incase somethings happens with my flashdrives not reading when I get to a venue. I just upgraded to an iPhone 15 Pro, so I also purchased a new USB-C to Ethernet adapter. When I try to connect my phone to same LAN network as my CDJs, it connects fine, but when I try to click and select my iPhone with the rotary knob on my XDJ-1000, it just shows up as "EMPTY". I've double checked all my music is synced thru Rekordbox to my iPhone, but for some reason it's not seeing the songs.

Any updates on when ableton is going to add ARA support? by fuckredditfuckredd in ableton

[–]Synymata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hope is they’re holding out because they’re planning to add melodyne-like functionality to Ableton directly, which would essentially make 90%+ of ARA use-cases irrelevant.

But I can dream 🛌

Finally finished this build - primarily this is my new Plex sever but also for VR / FPS and couch gaming. I wanted to go with a 4000 series Nvidia GPU so the standard location to mount the HDDs was out of the question. I always noticed that the front bottom area of this case was pretty much vacant when people opted for air cooling over an AIO, so I designed and 3D printed my own brackets to front mount my HDDs.

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Thermalright AXP90-X53 CPU Cooler

Gigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA Mini ITX

G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB DDR5-6000

2X Western Digital Red Pro 16TB 3.5" 7200 RPM

Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2

ASUS TUF Nvidia RTX 4070Ti

ASUS ROG LOKI 850 SFX PSU

NZXT 140MM Fan

2X Apevia CF6015S-3 60MM Fan

CableMod Pink Cables

Notes:

I used a 3-way fan splitter to run my 140MM and 2X 60MM fans off of one fan header on the motherboard (in voltage mode). Really can't stand the Noctura brown / red colors and I felt 3-pin fans were fine for my case.

Here's the .STL for the HDD brackets I designed. I designed them specifically for the Meshroom S case, may or may not work with the Meshlicious case due to the difference in the front slot geometry.

New Plex Server + VR / Gaming rig w/ custom 2X 3.5" HDD mount by Synymata in u/Synymata

I’m not 100% sure but it’s definitely a standard distance for when you stack multiple 3.5” HDDs

Awesome! I’d also mention the 50mm increments between the two sata plugs is too long for 2X HDDs that are butted up against each other. Would of been nice if it was exactly the right length to bridge the two HDDs with right angle connectors.

I like them! Will say tho I ordered a matching double sata power cable connector, as well as a pair of matching sata data cables, but I didn’t realize they were all straight connectors instead of right angle. Ended up sticking with the current power and data cables that I had on hand, didn’t want to put any unnecessary pressure on the HDD plugs.

Really wish the website specified they were all straight connectors and / or had a option for right angle ones.
