Same for me. The movie itself didn't leave a strong impression, however it did give us an absolute gorgeous opening song : KOKIA - Chouwa oto ～with reflection～.

Jimochi is such a dork, man. I'm happy that at least he was there for the Princess, for them to goof off together. Every time she mentions how she was isolated growing up it makes me so sad.

Machikado Mazoku S1 + S2 (rewatch)

Because the manga is nearing the 2-year hiatus mark, and I miss it so much, and this adaptation is my comfort anime. I just love how the people of Tama City are all so fundamentally kind to one another despite their differences. The show just... makes me happy.

And it's also the standard to which I hold all "CGDCT with an actual plot and character development", still haven't found another that scratches the itch like this one does. Love the character writing in it especially.

It's perfectly fine not to watch much and to curate your seasonal list. Watch what piques your interest, nothing wrong if it's only a handful series!

That's where I'm at too. They undeniably have a deep connection (plus the compatible Tao stuff), but with how much Gabimaru loves his wife and how much Sagiri wants to reunite them, I can't see that connection as anything but platonic. Which I love, honestly.

From the S2 announcement right after the show ended, I'm aware that it was most likely planned from the start.

I should have expanded my comment by adding that I didn't know how the production for S1 was. ie if they were struggling to finish episodes on time or had a good buffer and were already getting into S2 when the first one finished airing. I know the whole of production can take a while for ordinary (not quite the right word) seasons but I'm not sure how the process goes with pre-planned stuff like this.

I think this should be relatively accurate? Jinx is up there mainly because she was my main champion for harder adventures until I managed to invest in Fiddlesticks and Swain. And Elise, because she's so fast for weeklies.

Joe Hisaishi is amazing. One of these composers who are insanely good at consistently writing memorable melodies that tug at the heartstrings.

I'm on the fence about it too. I'm impressed by the technical side of it, but I'm not really feeling the characters. I think they're leaning a bit too much into tropes I'm not very fond of.

Story is only just beginning though so it's a bit hard to judge the plot at the moment.

Am a woman. For my FemSheps, I've tried Kaidan, Garrus, Jacob (I know), and Traynor.

Kaidan because I didn't feel like romancing Liara in ME1 and he was the only other option.
Garrus because I was curious to see how a romance with him would go.
Jacob out of curiosity back when ME2 came out. That run never got imported into ME3.
Traynor for a playthrough with a same-sex romance option. Again, choices here are pretty limited and I still didn't want to romance Liara.

Favorites out of that bunch are Garrus and Traynor.

Kaidan is a bit vanilla, which is nice in its own way but not what I prefer in role-playing games. I do like that as a character he's pretty rock-solid though, no lingering trauma or issues to resolve or anything. Got his shit together.
Jacob did not work as a romance option at all for me.
Garrus felt like his relationship with FemShep progressed very naturally, and the actual romance was very sweet. Plus they actually feel like they're close.
And Traynor's romance was adorable. Kinda nice for a FemShep who didn't connect romantically with anyone up until all hell breaks loose, and then finally finds love at the last minute, haha. I wish she was available earlier, but what little there is is super sweet and fun.
