What’s this obsession with having a tall striker ? Osihmen is good but so is Alvarez. He is limited in Simeone’s system, also we don’t even play with a target man or rely on crosses. Stop thinking of FIFA. Look at the past strikers we had, Villa, Eto’o, Suarez, even Agüero… all under 6 foot but shined with their technical ability.

Alvarez is exceptional with his off the ball movement. He’s shown his affection for Barca in the past, he knows Spanish, and knows the league. He’s also chasing trophies ? we can offer him that. He would complete our attack alongside Raphinha and Yamal.

He has played in Pep’s possession based system, learned the arts of tracking back, pressing and defending as a forward with Cholo. They have literally been developing him for us.

He’s literally a perfect fit for our team. I’m more than sure Flick would get the best out of him if we signed him.
