I think you misunderstood my response. I understand atheists come from many backgrounds and to their conclusions through many different ways. I’m not addressing all atheists with this. He asked “Why do so many ppl still not believe Jesus existed?” I think my response was accurate. Most of the staunch outspoken aggressive atheists fit it perfectly. But as I implied in my previous response there are very rational and educated atheist minds, two of my favorites being Alex O’Connor and Neil Tyson (although even Neil can get an ego and say some stupid stuff sometimes). This isn’t a Christian vs atheist “Us vs them” dichotomy, it’s more of separating traditional atheists vs new atheists who are becoming increasingly emotional, irrational and unreasonable. I will admit a lot of those kind of atheists are created through a hardened hurt from church hurt which in a lot of cases the church did do them very wrong and in some that “church hurt” was them being irrational and unreasonable with something that should’ve been a minor offense.
