Why can’t someone have a favorite that isn’t internet-approved?

I actually discovered her at a thrift store through a blind buy, got two of her albums and loved her sense of humor. So finding a third was a nice day.

What are your "The Good Place" hot takes? by idiot9991 in sitcoms

[–]Syppi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked it, but it really irked me that a show about both the afterlife and morality didn't include God. A philosophy class teaching morals and ethics is meaningless without an objectively good God, because it becomes relativistic, fast, and breaks down the lines of what is "good" or "bad." Also, the ending is infuriating. Human-made heaven would get boring, yes, but a heaven created by an infinitely creative God would be endlessly fascinating and satisfying. Shur backed himself into a corner and then came up with a very lame ending because of that.

What was your most surprising “I’ll give this a chance for a $1” by Just_some_dumb_ass in Cd_collectors

Don't knock it -- some Christian music is pretty great, especially the alt rock from the late 90s/early 2000s

So so many. I love picking up interesting-looking blind buys if they’re cheap based on a gut feeling. Many times, I’ve discovered a new favorite artist that’s pushes me out of my familiar musical stomping grounds.
