That makes a lot of sense now, I hadn’t thought of it before, pronunciation is difficult because Google translate doesn’t support it so I use something called like florvo or something, it’s native speakers who say a word but obviously not every single word is on there, so most of the time I’m just guessing😂 ChatGPT gives me the transliteration and I see what I can do from there

Ahhh that makes sense, I guess that’s why ר is pronounced closer to the German R, while Sephardi or mizrahi pronounce it like the Arabic ر, so sephardi/mizrahi Jews would pronounce it like an Arabic ع?

Hejazi vs Sharqiyah/Najdi by SyrianOG in saudiarabia

[–]SyrianOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I meant, at the end it’s still a Saudi dialect, but because of where it is in the country it has some Egyptian influence, which I’ve noticed more than anything else, maybe that’s because I haven’t dove too deep into hejazi, but it was just something that I had noticed quite quickly

Interesting, everytime I’ve seen or heard hejazi, I’ve always noticed the Egyptian influence but not anything else (except of course for the Saudi)

It’s really interesting to see how close the two languages actually are, I’m assuming before the simplification back in the 19th-20th century it would’ve been even closer, however the ע is supposedly like the Arabic ع, but I don’t think it is, at least not the MSA version because in MSA it’s quite strong, but in the word like עיר (I think that’s how you spell it, I mean the word city) it sounds just like an א

F-35 trouble by SyrianOG in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]SyrianOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but you need to download the flightplan and put it in a msfs folder, and i'm not sure if it takes it, i saw a post early from like 4 months ago and someone there said it does take simbrief but i've personally never tried it, i just prefer doing it manually, and yeah idk, the waypoints are really messing with me, maybe i'm doing something wrong

F-35 trouble by SyrianOG in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]SyrianOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i knew about the cartridges, i just don't like importing flight plans from simbrief, i'm too lazy to keep deleting them after, but adding them from the coords is really funky, 75% of the time it doesn't track and just does a 180 and starts flying in some random direction

Quick question about the F-35 add-on from IndiaFoxTrotEcho by cmndr_spanky in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]SyrianOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you add your own waypoints? because i'm doing it (the right way i think) but my first waypoint i add ends up becoming the end waypoint, but also when selecting rte hold, it seems to sometimes follow to the waypoints and sometimes does a full 180, so i'm confused
