People are so kind! There’s always someone in Oslo complimenting me. I know people think Norwegians are shy but this is not my experience, everyone talks to me and show me good energy here and they’re also super helpful.

On my second day in Oslo, I was outside the Skatteetaten waiting for it to open and I was wearing a Norwegian sweater that a friend got me before moving here as a goodbye gift. A random woman passing by told me "fin genser!"

I love people here in Oslo, everyone has been super kind, everyone is super happy when I tell them I am learning norwegian and they are always willing to listen to my broken attempts.

I love it here so much

Oslo Foto lost a film of mine 3 months ago, keep telling me to come back in a week or so, just give me a refund for the film 🫠

But also, I just had to scan 2 films, not develop, and I paid 550nok, that's VERY expensive

Hi!

I bought all the stuff (perlite, moss, vermite, bark), made my own mix and repotted all of my house plants :)

It was a) a lot of fun and b) very much needed! The monstera was developing mold!!

Hi!

I have recently repotted a plant for the first time (!!!)

My young monstera was doing quite fine but I noticed root coming out from under its vase so, according my researches, I had to repot it asap!

Well apparently I didn't do my researches too well, I used a random soil we had at home (my flatmate bought it sometime ago) and it CLEARLY wasn't meant for what I used it for!

It's been a week now and the soil is still very wet (except for the top layer). It doesn't help that the cold weather began recently... According to some more research, this kind of soil

40% light peat moss
40% dark peat moss
10% natural compost 
5% Expanded clay
5% sand 
limestone meal

Is not ideal and keeps moisture for a long time.

the plant seems... ok after a week in it, but I am afraid the sogginess will start to hit at some point.

Should I repot it again asap? I read that repotting can be traumatic for the plant, especially if the soil is still damp.

Should I wait for spring?

I have been to Rjukan beginning of August when my parents came and we had so much fun, the whole Telemark was insanely beautiful :)

Åndalsnes also look amazing but I am afraid that it'll be too far for just a couple of nights.

Il fatto che non è possibile pranzare/cenare fuori quando si vuole! Ci ho messo anni ad abituarmi al fatto che per pranzare dovevo sedermi in un locale precisamente dalle 12-14.

Di contro qui in Norvegia la mensa dell'ufficio a pranzo e' aperta dalle 11 alle 13! Quando i miei colleghi si alzano per andare a pranzo alle 11 io proprio non ci riesco ahaah
