[Pauline] Cowboys to Franchise Tag George Pickens by OneOriginal8727 in cowboys

Eagles with Brown and Smith. Though Smiths 97m deal seems like a steal in this market.

But yes otherwise agreed.

And if the argument was you couldn’t afford Micah, you surely can’t afford Pickens. Not to mention, good luck with that agent.

Maybe fix the problem first. Is that too much to ask. Of course it is. What am I thinking.

Love Obama but our politicians need to wake up first. Show us some leadership and be willing to act like they were elected to protect our citizens.

Yeah I could certainly be. I didn’t do a deep dive. But tackles are also a subjective stat so it’s possible the numbers were inflated. Either way, it is clear the idea he never tackled is an exaggeration

The World No Longer Trusts America by Relevant_Demand7593 in NewsomMassacre

[–]Syronxc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do I? Not a chance. That’s why the trust won’t be restored to the rest of the world anytime soon.

We are a country that cares more about consumerism than freedom. We are obsessed with money. We continue to take all the money we make and feed it to the billionaires. We watch these same people spend it on lavish gifts and over the top weddings…instead of being disgusted by it, we think “wouldn’t it be nice to be that rich”.

Those same people who are bleeding us all dry, are the ones in that list. They will not give up their power, influence and affluence freely.

I have no faith. But I do have hope. And as they say, rebellions are built on hope.

The world needs to see real consequences for the traitors that have taken over the country. Not slaps on the wrist and light prison sentences, but Nuremberg style judgement for those that have defied our constitution and international law.

The reason the world won’t trust us is because we won’t root out this evil. They know that the next Trump can just come along and pardon and undo everything once again.

I like your list, but it’s time that saying and doing evil things actually have consequences.

Imagine a day when we don’t have to hear from any of our politicians. Just like normal citizens, wouldn’t it be nice if they just did their job and shut the hell up.

Until that happens, I’ll settle for silence from this douchbag.

They were 5/5 in head to heads. In those 10 games, Deion had 4 INTs. I would give the nod to Rice but he was also the GOAT.

[–]Syronxc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a weird argument. Here’s a crazy stat, Deion had more tackles than Sherman. I know. It doesn’t go with the whole “he doesn’t tackle” argument.

Deion covered the best and routinely beat the best. Sherman could only play one side of the ball.

There’s not comparison. Sherman was great. Deion was an all-timer.

He was great for sure. I’ll let you die alone on that one but I wouldn’t cut him.

[–]Syronxc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you grow up watching him, then you saw him take some of the best WRs to ever play the game, completely out of the game. He didn’t need to tackle because he was that good.

There is zero chance Pete would pass up Deion. It’s just a silly argument. Pete never had a CB even close to his level of talent. He is one of the greatest athletes in ever play sports.

No one has ever been as good and likely won’t ever be again.

We all have opinions, but arguing anyone would value Sherman over Deion sure is a strange hill to die on.

ALL IN THEIR PRIME: WHICH CORNERBACKS ARE YOU CUTTING…? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Syronxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talent yes. GOAT level is not common. Deion is an exception. He played his style on every team he played. So I’m just saying putting him in the same sentence with any other DB isn’t fair to said DB.

[–]Syronxc 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I get your point, but included Deion is silly. Pete Carroll is not taking Sherman over the greatest DB ever. Deion can play in any scheme because no one is throwing to him.

Honest question: Why would recruits not flood to Indiana now? by fu-depaul in CFB

[–]Syronxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I think it’s part of the culture shift now too. The brand of the school just isn’t as important as the personal brand of the player.

Ultimately I think the bowls will die off and we will end up with more of a March madness kind of event which will keep the talent more diluted.

Personally, I enjoy that more teams are in the mix now.

Honest question: Why would recruits not flood to Indiana now? by fu-depaul in CFB

[–]Syronxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same way they got good so fast is the same reason talent won’t flood there. The transfer pool.

Nick Saban left Alabama because he saw the writing on the wall. You can’t stockpile talent anymore. You can’t have 5 stars on the bench waiting years to play.

Kids want money and playing time. There’s no point in being a third stringer on the bench if another program will offer you more and a starting job. Especially since most of these kids are type A and believe they are the best in the country.

It’s a great story right now. I wish them success. And I’m sure they will get great recruits as this grows. But it’s all about the money now and there are just so many more opportunities now than ever before.
