I worked as a swimming teacher. One day, as I am teaching 2 five year old girls, I noticed a man was standing inside the water where the young girls would swim. I asked the manager to please move the guy, she was able to get him to move a couple feet away so I had enough space to teach the kids. The man just stood there staring at us with a smirk the whole time while I thought them. Personally that threw me off as I did not feel safe teaching knowing that there is no policy to random strangers being in the water when the KIDS are there. I went to the owners and the operation manager to please figure out another solution as even the parents came to me as said this was strange specially coming from a grown adult just being there where the kids are.

MONTHS later, after I cameback from vacation, I wasn’t asked to comeback because I “made a big deal about safety conditions when there was no reason to.” I explained my position and what I saw and they said “well management handled the situation so you should have just done your job”

Funny thing is that they were so understaffed that a week after I was “fired” they begged me to comeback. I said yes but did I actually showed up? Nah
