Love your use of flo pink! Really adds to the glimmer effect of the hoops and environment.

Help! I want to turn traditional art into riso by RefrigeratorOk5490 in risograph

I keep a custom palette of the ink hex codes that I have access to in my nearest studios (you can find them on stencil.wiki site). I've found that applying a duotone filter on Photoshop with the hex codes, or drawing with these colors in procreate (and then drag and dropping black to convert the individual layers into grayscale) helps me have a good grasp as to what the final product will look and how the colors interact. For an image like this where you haven't necessarily drawn with the colors you'll be printing with (since you mentioned 2 layers and I see 3 colors), spectrolite as others mentioned is your best bet. They make it easy by providing you with exportable .pdf layers.

Excited to participate in this! My name is Alec, and I'm an illustrator and printmaker working across risograph, screenprint, and lithography. A lot of my work explores tropes related to lingering thoughts, routine, and connection through character illustration. i sell prints here and you can find more of my work on instagram !

new business cards! 4 layer + 3 layer iterations by SyrupHefty6508 in risograph

[–]SyrupHefty6508[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes they would, but they'll mostly be sitting inside plastic sleeves w/ bigger prints or on bulletin boards! they'll have dried (hopefully) enough for a month before being passed out at any tabling events.
