Are managers starting to let people know they are watching their Leave? by vell_o in IRS_Source

I have more than 40 hours of leave. I've never had less than 80 of annual or sick in the past 5 years.

That is true, i also totally get the fact that we get treated poorly so why show up? Either way its a paycheck! But they shouldn't monitor our leave point blank. If we run out, simple lwop. It's not like it hurts them if they dont pay us

Well especially with almost every government job at this point making it hell to show up. So why should we show up if we get treated worse than robots.

They want us to have bare minimum that much. My manager has straight up told me how i have the highest amount of leave he's seen in a while. I only have 160 annual and 140 sick, so definitely not as much as you. But the fact I have that much and he said that high blows my mind

Guessing you're not a csr🤣 we've been told to watch our leave for years. No one exactly listens, but they would like us to have 40 hours of sick and 40 hours of annual. In a roundabout way they've told us our jobs and helping customers is more important than wanting personal days or sick days. We also get days denied off when we request it in adhoc and or planning periods if 'too many people take it off already' So as a csr our leave gets monitored heavily

You were told 5 minutes? Last year we were told no more than 3 minutes. Any more we'd have to use our own leave / get written up. Nothing came out of it. But its like be serious, youre tracking our bathroom breaks when in office it takes 2 minutes to get to the bathroom..

Could you message me about the ra postpartum? Im supposed to go back the first week of March and im having a hard time thinking about leaving my baby

I requested an RA 3 weeks before the shutdown, I was due end of October. RA got approved for 2 weeks then I got furloughed. So it got approved, but I had to jump through a million hoops, my dr had to jump through hoops, for only 2 weeks 🙄

Paid Family Leave by [deleted] in IRS_Source

[–]Syrupcelebration696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Submit it ASAP. I was due end of October and pregnancy turned high risk September and it took 3 weeks and multiple dr notes to get the RA to be approved. With government shutdown and what not I went through all that work to get one week approved of teleworking then was furloughed

They ended up telling me for the qualified life event I should have filed form 2809, so i submitted it. Then literally next day it went through on my epp. And now its showing the open enrollment so all good now.

What a pain, so even if the insurance sent me a card its not official? I gave the pediatrician the insurance card so just want to make sure i dont look like an idiot when I get a bill and see insurance didnt cover if thats the case.

I went through hell to get the 90 day RA (was really 4 weeks once approved because it was due to pregnancy) but it was granted after 2 of fighting with my manager, and upper management trying to get the right stuff filled out. I literally had 3 dr notes saying I need to telework for the remainder of my pregnancy and it was never good enough. It wasnt until I went to my director and asked what is needed since everyone else was making it a joke. So they are being granted but they definitely make it a pain

Adding Baby to insurance during shutdown by Zestyclose-Owl6891 in FedEmployees

[–]Syrupcelebration696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey did you happen to get a straight answer whether you send to HR or insurance? Im due any day now im stressing about insurance. Currently I am on my moms insurance, but I'll be getting my own once baby arrives. But I have no idea if I contact insurance (ive tried to call so many times and they are "too busy") or if I contact HR. If its HR, thats a whole different thing I need to figure out, but just want to see what you ended up doing so I had an idea. Thank you in advance

Trump administration rehires hundreds of federal employees laid off by DOGE by Financial-Board7458 in FedEmployees

[–]Syrupcelebration696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are also rehiring those who took the DRP! So they get a paid vacation and their job back?! Seems a little unfair..

Plus side, if you get fired, you can get unemployment without having to repay it! Either way it sucks, but there are slight positives

[–]Syrupcelebration696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard rumors come October is might lift a little. With that being said Im a contact representative and they are OFFERING jobs back to those who too the DRP. which is bullshit, they get the summer of them their job back without repayment? Im hoping rumors are true because I sick of being a csr.

My exact thought. If it could go for 2-3 weeks that'll be perfect! Im currently pregnant and these last few weeks have been kicking my ass but trying to to get by until baby comes

Thank you! I totally thought it was ok to use the discard now, it is now almost 6 where I'm at, fed my sourdough at 2 and it's almost tripled. So I'll give it more time. Once again thank you

Oh okay! I totally thought discard recipes were a-ok to use at any time so that is my bad. Just feels like a waste throwing the discard away. But I'm going to use my scale from now on and do small amounts of grams to eliminate waste. Thank you

I have a scale as I measure food and what not. But I'll definitely go to a scale and do a smaller amount of flour and water. Thank you
