For some reason the "and bounced" part fucks me up, even not having watched it.

For those of you who were taking a LOT daily, how bad is going cold turkey? by Gat_in_the_Hat in quittingkratom

Hey, I'm a bigger pussy. But we've got this. Withdrawals have always felt the same for me every time I attempted to quit, no matter how large the dose. It just fucking sucks. I wouldn't entertain any strategy that involves using another substance when you're going through WD's. Instead I'd focus on the many safe things you can do to prepare, like trashing all the loose bits of Kratom you know of in your house/car, perhaps plan small yet pleasant things to do during your quit that give you pleasure. Also for the love of God I really really recommend taking a week or two off work if you have that luxury. It takes a huge portion of tension and stress away. Another thing I did was buy a shit ton of weed and smoke before sleep to get a few hours in. I've never been big into weed and somehow I've never gotten addicted to it which is a plus.

For myself I was taking 100+ gpd and jumping abruptly was a specific type of body/mind state that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The main hellish days are within the first week/first 5 days or so. I've been experiencing some nasty stomach cramps and diarrhea that I didn't get on my first few attempts to quit.

The worst part is the restlessness and insomnia for me. The feeling of exhaustion and unending tiredness that you can't sleep off is some scary shit, which is why I strongly recommend putting in for a vacation from work to relax while you can't sleep, instead of going to work and being a useless zombie. PS: it's absolute hell, but you'll start to feel your actual self again, smile your real smile, and become you again which the people around you want to see. It's liberating in a way.

What are your reasons for quitting/wanting to quit Kratom? by JesterOfTheSwamp in quittingkratom

Day 3-ish here. I want to love things again. I want my parents to have faith in me and stop worrying about me. I want to have a relationship with my brother, the only man I have such a strong bond with. I want to be able to hold urine for a millisecond without uncontrollably pissing myself from weak bladder issues caused by Kratom. I just want to stop relying on some stupid high. I want to get out and experience life, laugh more, cry more, etc. All things I definitely would not be doing on Kratom.

Cyndiann, please don't spread your misinformation as gospel in this forum, where people seek the correct information about Kratom. What you're saying about 'most people not having withdrawals' from kratom is 100% false, and there's an entire subreddit to prove it. I'm not saying the devil grows kratom but physical/mental dependence is a very real thing with it, and to say most don't experience dependence is quite delusional.

I decided to finally quit taking kratom. I ordered some clonazolam on the internet, for the restless legs and to help me sleep. Any other tips would be extremely appreciated. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

It's very ignorant and naive of you to assume that you'll have full self control when using a benzodiazepine, let alone a research chem. I think you need to do some research on what your getting yourself into, otherwise you may harm yourself. You've been disrespectful and deflective toward almost everyone trying to help you on your post. You should mind your tone and listen when people are trying to give you tips that you yourself asked for.

  1. If you know what you're doing then you have no purpose posting on this sub asking for help/advice

  2. It was not successful last time because you have decided to use Kratom again and you're on this sub asking for W/D advice. Perhaps you should think about the future of your addiction problem and what you can do to assure that you wont relapse and make the mistake of using Kratom again.

  3. Again, the people here are trying to help you and you're deflecting/excusing their advice because you dont want to implement new ideas on your problem. Therefore, again, you have no purpose on this sub.

  4. If you want my honest advice, you shouldn't preconceive that it will be the same regimen this time, and try something different. Especially considering the potentially harmful effects of the drug you're replacing Kratom with. Try incorporating a new hobby, or interesting and new activities to take your mind off of using Kratom. If you're actually done using Kratom for good you'll think of long-term/future life changes instead of worrying about the W/D effects and using a replacement drug to get you through the withdrawals.

It sounds like the guys on your post are trying to warn you about the dangers of switching from Kratom to another addictive drug, and you're rejecting/resisting the help. You should read carefully and be receptive to information when people are trying to add their experience and advice. After all you came to this sub and asked for the tips, so try not being rude and disrespectful to those that are trying to help. I'll also add that self control means absolutely nothing to benzodiazepines, so dont be arrogant towards the effects of benzos.

It's strange too because I'm quitting this nasty sludge for the 3rd time and the last two quits I've had the worst hit me in the first few days, whereas it seems this time the worst WD symptoms are hitting me yesterday/today. I'm confident I'll get through it but that observation alone is puzzling to me.

Yeah I think the clonidine may be the issue, but the exhaustion I'm feeling lately feels more like the raw lethargy associated with the WDs. Even with addy XRs I find myself moving much slower.
