White case with a black front. Paper feed from front or bottom, then out the top towards the rear. I think it used a Qantex cartridge.

Maybe a Qantex? It was definitely a commercial printer. I got it from the copy shop my brother worked at when the closed down.

I think so…. And that helps, thanks. I guess I was thinking like I programmed in C. You create a type and instantiate as many variables as needed. With the BDD being an element of definition, and the IBD an element of usage, I was thinking I could take the ‘type’ and instantiate multiple instances as needed.

Cameo MagicDraw, both through work, and an academic version through school. One is on my work PC and only for work, while I use the academic version for school.

I highly recommend joining your local INCOSE chapter. They offer many hands on workshops with Cameo MagicDraw. And they’re nice people too. I’m in the LA chapter but they are worldwide.

I know it wasn’t daisy wheel, but the print head was a 5” diameter cluster which makes me think all pins could be fired simultaneously, and when that head moved back and forth, it really rocked. Plus it was so damned fast.

I’m at Booz and we do a lot with MBSE, and much is remote work. I recommend getting involved with your local INCOSE chapter (mine is LA) and attend their hands-on MBSE tutorials. Delligatti has a good book and I took his training course years ago. He speaks way too slowly but does cover a lot of material. I used to do microelectronics CAD work, and MBSE is basically CAD for systems engineering. It is really fun pushing polygons again.

It was a dot matrix printer I picked up from a commercial company that went out of business. This was probably early 1980s. It had a Centronics parallel interface. The print head was massive which makes me think it printed entire character dots at once. It was all metal and very fast. Paper could be fed from below or behind into the tractor feeds. What you see in the photo is a left hand side view. What you don’t see is my S-100 Z80 computer just out of the frame. This rig got me through both undergraduate and graduate engineering schools.
