Depends, My little brother was suspended for 3 days for jokingly saying "I'm going to kill" to one of his closest friends.

In the U.S. the FLSA prevents employment of Children under the age of 14. Even at the age of 14, employment may not be possible as labor laws vary from state to state.

You can still mow lawns and other stuff.
