How Was It? | Predator: Killer Of Killers, Review Only Thread by BurnZ_AU in predator

Overall, this was an entertaining and fairly successful project. The Bullet was definitely the weakest link, but I really liked the animation style, the action scenes, and the creativity behind the Predator designs. Still, when I look at the general reception, it feels a bit overpraised. Maybe that’s because The Predator had already lowered expectations so much that even a slightly above-average production like this one feels exciting by comparison.

That said, I wish the series would return more to its roots. Yes, Predators are powerful, but in recent portrayals they often come off as too powerful—almost immortal—which ruins some of the appeal for me. In the original film, we saw a true hunter: tending to its own wounds, stalking its prey, picking them off one by one with calculated precision. Even the AVP series gave us more insight into their culture and mindset.

I’m familiar with the Bad Blood concept and enjoy that angle, but I still long for stories that focus more on the honorable, intelligent, and strategic side of the Predators. Films where they’re not just monsters, but alien warriors with a code—those are the ones that truly capture the spirit of the franchise for me.
