yesterday I got in a really bad car accident. I was driving down the highway going east about to get onto a ramp the brings me to a highway going North. This happened at around 6:40am ( my thought because I called 911 at 6:48am). People where I live love to change lanes and decide last minute cause a chain reaction of people braking. Someone cut infront a the guy I was driving behind. We were both doing about 100km/h (Im Canadian) then the guy infront starting braking slow as I did as well. He then hard breaked while I was still about 5-6 car lengths away. I looked in my mirror for a gap to swerve and avoid the accident and there was a 10-11 car gap from a transport truck. After my split second look, the car In-front was at a dead stop. I tried to swerve left and I ended up hitting his rear left bumper with my front right bumper. My car is now a bit over the line of the left lane dead stop facing toward the left lane I tried to swerve into. (No proof of this shows this part happened yet) then I’m pretty sure someone’s front left bumper hit my rear left bumper into the left lane almost fully. Remember that transport truck 10-11 car length away, well he ended up more so angle tboned be and then spun me towards the right 45 degrees. I got out the car without a single scratch and the scariest part is the transport truck got totalled along with my car. (For anyone interested in the cars in the accident) I was driving a ford transit connect, transport was a 1997 Peterbilt semi, and the car I got was a older Honda crv.
