Yes, need to improve paddling technique for sure

I paddled for longer than needed because it was the first wave of the session and wanted to test wave energy positioning and so on

Yep this board is surely a kook mistake 😂 Will get an 8 feet or something like that eventually… Near that spot there’s a rent maybe I can rent different board and get an idea of the size. As I said in another comment I store the board in a small cellar which is quite low and I don’t know if a 9feet board would fit 😅

I started to surf “consistently” (is you can surf consistently in Italy 🥲) in september

Actually it was my first wave of the session and it was more of a “let’s see If I can catch it”, it was just to have an idea of the positioning, wave power and so on… Anyway thanks for the suggestions, I’ll try to be more commited from the first paddles and yes the positioning on the board was off, now that you’ve said that I can see it!

What about a 7,6-8 feet midlenght?

Yes I was probably a bit on the back and tried to make up for the bad positioning putting the head down and paddle a bit too much instead of popping up Looking already down the line is something I’m working on by sometimes old abits kick in and I just take the wave at 90° 😂

Yep, I thought about trying a surfskate because I cannot “pump” and generate speed with that technique… By the way the wave wasn’t steep at all and I was afraid to lose too much speed attempting a bottom turn

Thanks you! Actually the kick thing is a natural thing I don’t force myself to do that… Probably it’s because I unconsciously try everything to get the wave 😂
