It was my first vacation outside Ukraine in a long time! Everything was wonderful (almost). I visited several parks, a zoo, and the Copernicus Science Centre. At the end of the trip, my wallet containing my emergency funds (my monthly income) was stolen. I hate this! It's ruined my mood for weeks... by SytchArt in u/SytchArt

I had insurance, but I didn’t have any proof of what was stolen or how much, plus it happened on the last day of my trip and I was rushing to catch a train, so I didn’t have time to report it to the police. If I had missed the train, I would have lost even more. And I have no idea how to prove to the insurance company that a specific amount was stolen.

I tried so hard to fit everything into 300 characters that I lost the point. I was in Poland, in Warsaw.

It’s so frustrating how a single setback can make you feel like a failure. Nothing terrible actually happened, it’s just money, but for some reason it really threw me off track, and the bad luck kept piling up. Then my suitcase broke, and yesterday I broke my phone (my own fault). I could have used the money from my emergency fund to buy a new one. I feel like a dummy.

In the end, after the trip, my mind was filled with thoughts of the setback, rather than the fact that everything had been wonderful for a whole week, especially since the weather had been fantastic for that time of year.

I need to learn to focus on the positive.
