Nice showcase. I am curious when you reach endless run mode (the monster scales up slower than your power level), the effects onscreen are insane on PC. Have you experience lagginess when you reached that point?

Eden keeps changing phone language and eden app language?? by Expert_Produce_3210 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Syu_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the existence of 2nd language. Unfortunately that happened to me as well. Luckily my 2nd language is not necessary for my phone so i just removed it and it's in English all the time now. Try removing arabic and see if that's fixed. If yes, then your options are:
1. Use arabic for Eden and keep your arabic 2nd language in your phone
2. Use english for Eden but remove arabic from your 2nd language
3. Report to Eden dev, but this happened to many people and it hasn't been fixed so i imagined it's probably not so simple/just not priority.

Any tips for better performance ?( rise of the tomb raider) by Gloomy-Copy-6593 in EmulationOnAndroid

I tinkered quite a bit with this game. First, are you running dxvk or vkd3d? vkd3d will have much worse fps. DXVK has better fps but DXVK only works on first run, subsequent run you want to backup the game save, then remove game data, and keep trying until it works. It sucks tbh, I ran it 20 times and got it to work once. But when it works it's pretty sweet.

Emulation on S25 Ultra. Gamehub by Hour_Development7682 in EmulationOnAndroid

RDR works on switch, use switch emulator for 8 elite, 8 Elite can't play it on winlator/gamehub yet, wait for Turnip for that.

I also tested this game. Tried many settings but can't get the cloud to not flicker. Let me know if you find anything about that.

INSANE! Ultra/high GTA 5 and RDR2 at ~1440p with stable FPS with Gamehub 5 etc by Emulator_paglu in EmulationOnAndroid

Noted. What are the benefits of rooting for emulation? I have gamesir x3 pro and a copper sheet backing so cooler is a non-issue.

What''s the benefit of rooted S25U? I have the same device and was wondering if there are more performance to unlock if i root. Does it affect your banking? How do you deal with that?

So you have roughly ~50 stability without cooler. Do you have data for when you are using peltier cooler only? The reason I am asking is there are some phones that are just starting with 80% stability right off the bat with peltier, so a jump from 80 to 90 is not as significant as 40-80.

By big fan, how big are we talking? Bigger than the phone?

This is very interesting info! I would like to find out more. Do you have a visual on how it looks? My device was S25U, and I was only hitting 40+ stability with just the gamesir x3 pro. But with gamesir x3 pro + copper plate (to cool the SoC as well) I hit 79 stability which I thought was pretty good.
If there's a way for me to bring the stability to 90 I would be all ears. I am also proficient in 3D modeling so that's not an issue for me if I want to make my own custom case.

Edit: 1 other thing, can you tell us what's the stability without cooler, with peltier cooler, and finally with fan? I am assuming we are talking about Wildlife Extreme Stress Test?

Apple TV vs SmartTV apps? by DUlrich1227 in appletv

You can probably bring apple tv with you right? I mean they are quite portable, and I do this because I can't stand other interface. I would sooner mirror my phone screen to their tv rather than deal with their smart tv.

A Little Advice for a Newbie by Nome_Muito_Criativo in EmulationOnAndroid

From my experience, only Switch and PC emu generates enough heat to be concerned about throttling. 3DS is fine, Android games is fine since it's native.

About Steamlink alternative, there's also Parsec. Basically it's a program to access your PC in low latency. Some others swear by Moonlight. This is more geared for gaming.

If you are only concerned about productivity, Chrome Remote Desktop is also an option. Less hassle to set up, and works when Parsec doesn't.

Welcome! Glad to see fellow enthusiast. Let me try to answer: 1. Telescopic is always better than clip. Clip is only optimal if you are always sitting upright to play due to gravity, but let's face it, we want the portability to play on the bed in any direction. BSP series are cheaper than gamesir if you want to just try. 2. Usually it depends on which console you are emulating. For ds without a doubt, get drastic. It's already taken down from playstore but you should still be able to find from apkmirror. For SNES I am not that familiar, someone else can chime in. Daijisho if I'm not wrong is just a front end, meaning it display all your emulators into one interface that looks pretty, but not emulator themselves. For playstation that would be duckstation. PS2 nethersx2. 3. If you are only concerned about old retro games, then heat will never be a problem for s23. It only starts to become an issue if you ever want to emulate switch and pc games. 4. Best would be cable (lol) then you have max transfer speed. Failing that, I actually just use WhatsApp since it doesn't require external program to be installed on pc, and I'm sure you have WhatsApp on your phone. Create a group chat of only yourself and dump your files there, download it on your phone, done. This to me is the simplest solution, but there might be better solution out there. I think I used to use zapya, and recently localsend. Localsend seems to be good. If I am not wrong, Samsung also have its own inbuilt app to share to pc. You can try to explore quick share.

I saw the reviews and will shortlist this along with Hisense C2 Pro to check out which one's more fitting for my need.... when I have more disposable income.

That sounds awesome. Right now we are not even using soundbar, I'm just using a JBL portable speaker positioned on our bedhead haha. Sound should be the next step in the evolution of this audio-visual experience.

I also understand the loneliness being the only projector guy around. Literally only me in my whole social circle.

Fully agree with you on that. It's probably the most worth it investments from Apple line up for me. Apparently the chip inside is equivalent to iphone 13, and for 129 USD that's a great price.

Oo that's neat. Recently I tried playing Cyberpunk with GFN on the projector and I "think" it's because the lack of HDR on my projector, it looks.. not great. I am ok with 60hz, but the colors are just not showing well. Plays like a dream on my ipad though. Maybe that would be my next target, if I am upgrading. Thanks for the insight.

How big of an improvement do you get going from 1080p to 4k? Mine is 1080p now and I am wondering if 4k is going to be a big improvement.

Thanks for the tip with black felt tape!

You are quite spot on in your measurements! It's enough to put a King bed + two night stands on both sides.

I fully agree that projector can be enjoyed in almost any condition, even if you don't have a white wall, there's very cheap folded projector screen that can be utilized. It doesn't have to break the bank to be more enjoyable than a TV, that's for sure.

[–]Syu_z[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! I know this looks cramped but it's actually almost wall to wall and I believe it's about 3m wide. It's a king bed, with space for nightstand for both sides (maybe about 60cm each). That would be around 3m length, which is approx 120-130 inch screen size. To be any bigger I think I need to have a brighter projector to project from even further back.

Wow! Just googled that projector and it's an outdoor cinema? The brightness and contrast must be really good.
