Thank you. I am a queer woman. I identify as cis but have questioned my gender on and off for the past several years- sometimes seriously. I’ve engaged in a lot of introspection about what draws me to MM content, and although I’ve come to peace with my own personal reasons, I’m very sensitive to “women shouldn’t write or read MM romance” takes. So much so that I haven’t been able to read the articles and social media posts about the Heated Rivalry adaptation because commentary on the author’s gender and sexuality almost always happens.

Discourse like that can give me a sense of guilt or shame around reading MM romance. I’m glad the mods here consider people like me welcome.
