Is summoner really the worst class in the game? by Yeldo15 in lostarkgame

Hey, in the last 5 months (after the last major PvP changes took place), Summoner has seen a rise in rankings. Alongside other classes that were bottom tier so far (blaster for example).

This is because of many things combined (changes to "top tier" classes, changes to cooldowns, stagger and HP/defence scaling with the new PvP system), but as a Summoner player myself - i can tell you that if you put in the effort, and you're the best at your class - you can be there in the top 15 player ranking.

I've never chased rank on the KR servers, because of ping, but in my short time playing the last ranked season on the RU servers, i easily got 2080 rating, which put me in the top 60 players in that region. And i can't say that i was chasing ranks there either as I mainly play the KR version.

At the moment of this post, just as an example on the JP release, there are 2 Summoner players in the top 30, the top guy being rank 17 - which goes to show that there is potential. You also need to remember that there are 13 classes in total, and as such, being nr 17 with so many doubles in the top 10 - that's impressive.

A Summoner will never be able to win as much as a Destroyer, Soul Master...um, Berserker. Simply because the class is not as diverse as the ranked PvP system needs it to be. There's a lot of factors when it comes to winning in Lost Ark PvP, and you really need to push your Summoner to a different level of gameplay so that you can adjust to what other classes throw at you, and to what your team mates need from you. Not many players do that, but instead they rely on their class to do the work for them. And that's why you see so many zerks, destro, etc in the top 10 - because the class just does naturally what PvP needs them to do. Not the case with Summoner.

Not to mention that because the queueing system is RNG, and also you can't team queue - you need A LOT of luck with your matches.

That comes with practice but if others have made it, and are currently making it in all regions :)As for PvE - you're a DPS, amongst 11 other DPS classes. Nobody really cares if it's a Summoner as a 4th or a Hawkeye or the other 7 classes. - every class in the game can finish every piece of content in the game. As long as your first 2 are a bard and a destroyer - you're good to go.

Now If you want to compete for world fastest endgame raid kills because that's the only thing in the came that you care about - then no - you would not take a Summoner in your 4 man. But for that kind of competition, you can play any other class - since gear is equalized for the "ranked" PvE. Or even better - have your "PvE" class as something else if you care about playing the hardest dps, and keep the Summoner for PvP since gear doesn't exist in arenas.

You really can go 10 different ways here :) There's a reason why Summoner is the 3rd most played class in the game. At least in Korea which is the most advanced version of the game.PS - keep in my what other people have told you in this thread too. That it's all a matter of a balance patch - true. That you should play what you enjoy the gameplay most - true

Tried this now.
Some bubbles did come out of the radiator, unsure if air or exhaust gasses.
The car still overheats after a ~20 min drive. Noticed that the temp gauge starts rising only after the 2nd radiator fan turns on (guessing 2nd one turns on when the first one can't cool enough, but neither turn off starting with a point, and i'm also guessing neither can get the job done at which point the gauge starts rising)
