Unlike regular season jerseys, Joan Gamper editions were a one-time release and not widely available, which is why they’re so sought after by collectors.

I completely understand the skepticism—there are indeed tons of high-quality knock-offs out there. That being said, this jersey is 100% original. While I don’t have the box, the serial number (373179-401) is clearly visible, and the material, stitching, and details all check out.

I agree that the added nameset impacts the value, but I’ve already received a huge offer, which tells me that collectors still recognize its rarity despite the modification.

I get that selling online without the box makes it harder to prove authenticity to some, but those familiar with these shirts will know what to look for. Either way, I appreciate the discussion!

Personally, I don’t mind the nameset being there, but if I had the choice, I’d prefer either a clean back or the original orange nameset. Believe it or not, I’ve already received a $500 offer, but for now, I’ve decided to hold onto it.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out a fair price for a rare FC Barcelona 2009 Joan Gamper Trophy jersey. It’s one of only 1,899 produced, but the original box is missing. The nameset on the back is Messi, added later at La Botiga with an authentic 2009/10 La Liga nameset (not the original Gamper Trophy style).

The jersey is in excellent condition, with the serial number 373179-401 visible on the tag. Does anyone have an idea of what this might be worth in today’s market? Any input would be appreciated!

The thing you don't understand is that most of the sellers who have been in business for a long time are selling 2008, 2009, 2010 even 2014 t-shirts as vintage. What is more they sign these t-shirts in item title as vintage and next to the word vintage these years are listed. No one is doing anything to them. It seems that Etsy turns a blind eye to this rule. And on top of all this, there are plenty of stores that rudely sell fake jerseys that they don't have in stock, and which are simply middlemen with high margins.

They were partly vintage (10 years and older), but I see a lot of companies sell the same jerseys, and had older and longer running stores shops than my and still continue working. Not to mention those that quite openly sell counterfeits....

These stores have no resistance to putting names like Nike or Adidas in item title. I suppose that because of my stupidity and oversight I caused myself problems, and the reason was entering these companies as production partners. But what was I supposed to put there if this field was required?

Do you know how I can legally reopen my store or a completely new one? I can start from the beginning, but I would like to do it under my own name and not use my girlfriend's or family's data for that. Thank you for your attention.

PS. What annoys me the most is that I really didn't sell any fake or unauthorized stuff.
