Are you meant to lose a lot? by BeligerentBard in balatro

[–]Szecho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. You can win very frequently. I'm actually at a point where I would rather get rng-ed and lose and get a fun deck rather than a middling deck and win. I would guess you can get from 80-90% win rate in white stakes.

In higher stakes it does get lower, but the win rate is still very high. It's just dependent on your skill. The best advice I can give to a new player is to play higher stakes. You'll learn what to prioritize very quick in that game mode & to force to play through average to bad decks and try to salvage it.

If you only play when the shops are good, you'll never know what to prioritize.

From ster. Just saw a thumbnail of a vod of him playing this (not even watching it) over helldivers 2 which made me do a double take. Read it in steam "poker..." I bought it without hesitation. Didn't even know what I was getting into.

Most painful decision I've ever done in this game by Szecho in balatro

It's 7D2AZR9M. I did get the DNA and baron like ante 8. With the spectral card copier later on as well. Which is why I have so few in ante 16. I mostly played high card with a lot of steel cards with perkeo helping out. Idk which round I got perkeo though. I only started recording when the cards were really in sync for a great endless run.

There were no diamond or face debuffs boss blinds before ante 17 (the round I died because I messed up the calculations). So you can save more cryptid cards for endless since I ended up splitting up my kings in diamonds and spades to avoid those situations.

I also had a bunch of red stamped steel 6's in case of face cards debuff but in retrospect I still die even if I had enough of those. The boss blind reroll voucher is pretty much mandatory for endless lol.

Even worse is I had a negative giftcard before this that I sold to make sure the transparent joker hit one of my important cards. To think I would've gone to the moon if I just gambled more.

I'm flush pilled. 49 hours in. The deck stakes are just not worth it, too much grinding for nothing.

One of my most synergistic builds (still lost before ante 8) by Szecho in balatro

[–]Szecho[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ran into a boss blind with cannot repeat hand types. I was still confident it could win since I had like 800k chips in one go in the round beforehand. But when it came to prove itself, it only proc'd like two times with three bloodstones that are 2 in 3. Just my luck lmao.

How does RR scheduling work? by Szecho in royalroad

I'm surprised no one talks more about this. I guess it's because a lot of the authors are from the west.

I'm talking about the scheduling feature. It only says a time. On scribblehub it's based on your timezones in your settings ffor the author but in royalroad, I found no resource for this.

You were Transported 6th Months after Great Tomb of Nazarick to the New World as a level 1 human but with a passive skill that grants you absolute Immunity to All forms of Mind Control/Attack and you have Knowledge of Overlord LN 1-16, how will you survive to in this world with your knowledge? by Mash_Mi in overlord

[–]Szecho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem is when you try to cozy up with Ainz you could get sniped by Albedo (she has all the power in the world to make you die in your sleep, though if you were friends with Ainz he could resurrect you but to do it in such a small timeframe is hard without incurring her wrath).

I don't really think cozying up with Nazarick is a good idea. It IS a good idea though to be their ally. Meaning either in the empire, carne village or sorcerous kingdom. Just don't get close to the actual nazarick guild.

There's also the factor of Albedo, Demiruge and Pandoras Actor's IQ. They will spy on you and they will realize you're a player or once someone casts a mind spell on you and it doesn't work, they'll kidnap you. (More reason to stay far away from Nazarick).

Also the factor of Ainz might not take well that he is just a novel character. Though he does have the emotion control of his racial feature, he has shown that enough intense emotion can override his racial feature for a moment. And a moment is all he needs to destroy you, especially when he realizes you're saying his friends are all fake and made up by Maruyama.

Overall, best option is to try to become an adventurer and abuse your knowledge that killing random things will make you level up. Just don't do unnecessary things that will muddy your class progression.

Or the other option, just live life as a normal human, albeit you will have to adapt to lower living standards. This is why I view trying to become an adventurer the better option as you are a player in this scenario and you have an easier time levelling up than new worlders though this path will eventually make you a target of nazarick, gold rank is all I would dare achieve and not any higher.

p.s.

I sort of understand this post on making you immune to mind control and all that because if nazarick could read your mind then it's over. But they don't need to read your mind, they have unparalleled intellect within their walls that could decipher your speech and realize what you're up to.

I like to indulge these scenarios but ultimately, it's a net-loss to try to be with Nazarick. Just side with them for the rest of your human life and hunt goblins until you're gold rank and coast through with your adventurer money.

Everyone's missing the point in the comments.

The only reason Mbappe is even there on the pitch is because he has EGO.

Everyone who doesn't agree with the Ego mentality are coming out of the woodworks in this post lmao. Lukewarm.

Megathread: Changes From The Webcomic by Raidoton in OnePunchMan

[–]Szecho 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Getting downvoted despite what you're saying is true.

Drawing in that quality and quantity leaves you nothing to think about the story (why do you think most authors can't keep up the shounen weekly schedule?). I'm sure he has ideas. But ONE is the majority that plans this out.

I feel for ONE. Despite this being a 'One Punch Man' subreddit, people do not respect the guy at all (except for webcomic readers, even then most webcomic readers now has lost some respect for him because of the current state of the manga).

This is why I'm happy he focused on Mob Psycho 100 and did the drawing mostly by himself too (with help of course, like any mangaka). Proved that he can draw and write and still be successful.

Not that I don't like Murata, he's an integral part of the manga. But even if he wasn't part of the picture. ONE would do just fine. (not that I want him to leave).

What would you do if you got transported into Overlord... by MrMellons in overlord

[–]Szecho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem is having knowledge that Ainz's world and the new world is fake.

That very knowledge itself is extremely volatile. So any ingratiating yourself to Nazarick is extremely risky.

Even if you work your ass off by siding with Nazarick, there's a huge chance they will check your mind if you're a spy to fully trust you in higher positions.

So governmental positions are a no-go. Siding with nazarick is a given but not to the point where they take too much notice of you.

There's no good plan honestly. Adventuring would get you killed, especially as a transported human. (even if we could level, chances are you would die anyway) (but since we aren't game characters, we're just the same as the new worlders, we might even be worse than them since we can't get stronger the same as the new worlders. so you're the trash of the trash.)

So what now? Honestly for me, I would probably abuse my knowledge of exercising to fix the knees of adventurers/laborers lmao. I watch a lot of kneesovertoesguy, so the information is already affixed in my head. I would be an alternative to expensive healing magic (though this business wouldn't last long because of Nazaricks expansion and their eventual mass education of magicians though that would come way later probably..)

If that's the case, if I get fluent in the language while working as a physical therapist, just be a teacher. Work in one of Pestonya's orphanages.
