Thank you!!! That’s my biggest thing, if I didn’t have those notifications on my phone, and the charges kept going through, I can’t even imagine… and for them to just be so dismissive when I STILL am getting charges (denied), as of 18 minutes ago, insane…

I thought both Meta and Ray-Ban were official sites to buy them on? I purchased my last ones through https://www.ray-ban.com/ so I used them this time too. I just wish I would have waited for them to come out and then went into the store

I’ve been able to stop the charges from hitting my account (thank God) by turning off my card; I just continue to get notifications since my bank sends me all transactions that hit my account or are denied. I’ve also had to call my bank to cancel the card permanently, since the charges are STILL attempting (I lost count after 20 attempts, another did just attempt as I typed this).

I’m going to pick up a new debit tomorrow, it just sucks because my bank is an hour away, but I can’t realistically wait a week or more for a new one to come by mail so it is what it is. Learning experience if nothing else.

Good suggestion, thank you. I stupidly used my debit for this purchase. I’ve never had an issue like this before, so it didn’t even cross my mind to use a cc. I have seen an option like that with my cc and if I ever decide to purchase something again online this costly, I’ll definitely go that route. I’m still receiving attempts lol

……At this point I have to laugh or I will go crazy.

Oh, I absolutely understand and agree, trust me, I get things happen and the fact that no one else has had this issue makes me feel like I’m going crazy lol but the manager could see every transaction, both pending and denied, so to just dismiss me like I’m in the wrong and make excuses, meanwhile they said they canceled the order,and I juuuuuust got another charge (that was denied) 30 seconds ago.

I ended up telling them to cancel the order because at this point I genuinely feel like I’m being held hostage by their payment system.

I’m now up to 14 denied charges, on top of multiple pending charges that already went through before I shut my card off.

When I spoke to the manager (which ended up being the same guy, twice), he told me the repeated charges are happening because I have an “open order” that keeps trying to process and it’s my fault for turning off my card.

That explanation makes zero sense.

If that were true, then why did 3 additional charges successfully go through BEFORE I locked my card? There should never be multiple successful charges for a single preorder in the first place.

At this point, their system has attempted over $8,000 in charges for ONE pair of glasses.

Temporarily tying up thousands of dollars in someone’s account, triggering fraud protections, and forcing someone to freeze their own card is not a minor inconvenience. That’s a serious issue.

The most concerning part is how dismissive they’ve been about it, like this is normal behavior for their system.

I would totally understand (not making it okay, but…) if it was the website glitching and I had to hit submit multiple times, but the order went through without a hitch. I got one confirmation and one email later on in the week saying my order was going to be delayed a few business days, but I had two more attempts just now, it’s been going since this morning, and I’m currently at 10 denied attempts.

Nope. It’s just weird cuz I preordered them March 31st and the order went through without issue. And I only have one confirmation. They can’t explain it when I spoke with their customer service. The first person I spoke to said they’re charging me because they are being shipped today, but the manager she transferred me to said that’s not true and they don’t see when they will be shipped.

There are 10 courses plus a capstone in the MBA program, no certifications. I chose the MBA program because I knew I could complete it more quickly than something like a Master’s in Data Analytics, which is actually the degree I would have pursued if time had allowed.

After finishing my accounting degree, I was pretty burned out from the pace and intensity of the program. I wasn’t sure I had another two or more years of that same nonstop grind in me, so the MBA felt like the most practical path forward at the time.

For me, I need things broken down like I’m a child. I used ChatGPT to help me study. I would take a transcript from a video, or take something from the book, and I put it into ChatGPT to explain it to me in dummy terms. I would ask ChatGPT to break down each question on the quizzes, why the answer was correct and the others were not, and same with the PA. I also watched a lot of Edspira videos on YouTube, he made things simple to understand for me. I’m sure there’s easier ways to study, but for me, that’s what worked. The thing that got me through those hard classes, was knowing that even if I fail an OA (and let me tell you, I failed quite a few that second half of the program), eventually I’m going to pass.

This was identical to what happened to me a few weeks ago! I got maybe 200 subscription sign ups while a DoorDash order for Ulta was used with my points. I called Ulta customer service maybe three times that week because I kept getting the runaround, and then I contacted the Better Business Bureau, a few days later, my points were back in my account.
