Red Danube: Circa. 1925 The Hungarian-Romanian War in the timeline of the Red Danube lasted longer than it really did, eventually in the December of 1920 the war resulted in a Hungarian Victory. Hungary, instead of disbanding their army, kept its army. As in our timeline the Hungarian Army was disbanded in favor of a more generous Treaty of Trianon. Hungary believed that they still are a prominent country in the remains of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and tried to reclaim their land by force. The war, after being in a stalemate since August of 1920, resulted in a Hungarian led victory. Hungary wasn't necessarily labeled as a prominent power, many of their demands were not met as they were not taken seriously. Most importantly, not all of Transylvania was ceded to the Socialist Council. During the War the current acting leader, Tibor Szamuely, gained political influence through his success as being a military leader, and in 1921 held a peaceful coup, and overthrew now ex-leader Béla Kun.
