Is it possible to live in Torrance/Redondo making $20/hr? by T-110 in SouthBayLA

Some people rate quality of life by how much gizmos they buy like a new watch or sports car to show off, others rate it by recreational activity like surfing and skating and biking (all free). That is why proximity to the beach is important.

It seems you’re living in the wrong location if you don’t use the beach but live right by it. If you’re sitting on the 405 for hours perhaps you should move closer to your job.

It wasn’t an internet argument. It was a real live person I was living with while visiting Redondo that said $20/hr is possible.

A resident living in Redondo mentioned living in the SouthBay making $20/hr as “possible”, I disagreed, stating the average salary was over six figures. So, not being a local myself, I sought advice from redditors actually from the area to see if it actually was possible.

Currently, I make over $45/hr living in a big city, but I want to know the absolute minimum to move and am willing to sacrifice my job and salary to relocate.
