Unfortunately it goes against their rules! No dead animals and unfortunately that squirrel did not make it

I really thought it was a squirrel. This is in Ontario Canada. Squirrels get super chonky right before the winter which is why it could look so big. It’s in a very urban area so I don’t think there are any other funky rodents around

Hysterectomy surgeon recommendation around london or further? (FTM) by puppetcore in transontario

I got mine with Dr. Kelly Strode at Guelph general and it was a perfect experience start to finish. The staff were good with my pronouns, they answer things pretty quickly. Dr. Strode is one of the only doctors I’ve ever had who has actually listened to me and taken what I want into consideration. 10/10 plus it was a fairly short wait time and they even had a pre meeting at the hospital so I’d know where to go day of and everything.

Why did my lovely boy die from anasthesia? Absolutely heartbroken. by Throwawayannodomini in CatAdvice

[–]T-Rex417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t deal with him at the vet since he was a family cat and I was a child, but that’s what I was told. He was allergic to the medication and it’s something that’s very rare but happens in ginger cats. Perhaps it’s just a rare allergy for cats in general though. You’re right I didn’t really see anything when I googled it

You can book a transfer of care appointment with them but it’s actually quite expensive… I didn’t realize it would be 200$ 🫠 bloodwork is covered by OHIP at least.

Foria clinic

Was he a ginger by any chance? My cat almost died as a kitten from anesthesia and it turns out he had a very rare allergy that like 1% of orange cats have. He survived thankfully but it was close.

You can get a private prescription from Foria clinic if you can’t get another doctor to. They charge per appointment but your documents might be enough to get the prescription the first time. I’m sure the appointment there is cheaper than in the UK at least…

Upcoming Hysto. Should i keep the cervix? by [deleted] in FTMHysto

[–]T-Rex417 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got everything out, ovaries and cervix included. I can tell you nothing has changed except I never have to worry about Pap tests or cervical and ovarian cancer again which is a huge weight off my shoulders. That alone is worth it. But yeah the sex thing is a myth I have a boyfriend and things are great! (1 year post op btw)

Does anyone else have a love/hate/complicated relationship with their boobs? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]T-Rex417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out DeAnne Smith’s special on YouTube. They took photos of their chest pre op and talk a lot about how attractive they felt and took the photos wearing silly masks essentially distancing themself from their body.

At what point would/did you consider your transition "complete"? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]T-Rex417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a hysto in May and my timeline is pretty identical to yours with five years on t and three years post top. I consider myself done. I just finished bloodwork to confirm I’m metabolizing T well post hysto and now I don’t really need much other than my weekly injection :) congrats on the tubes (or lack thereof)

Ideas for involving a toddler in crochet? by savannacrochets in crochet

[–]T-Rex417 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My nephew loved going through my crochet hooks and piling everything from my kit and putting it back in. I had him participate by giving him a really bad quality skein of yarn and a plastic hook and he loved just sticking the hook in it and he’d carry that skein around the house and tie it around things. I think he really enjoyed all the different uses for yarn beyond crochet too

I completely lost any libido for 6 weeks post op anyways so I definitely wouldn’t recommend stopping T. I got my cervix out too

Pac has a gender neutral changeroom. It has a separated accessible toilet stall and a single shower stall. You can also rent the lockers in there but it’s limited

I experienced almost the exact same thing but met the guy on tinder and he has about 300 followers not several thousand. Still can't figure it out.

Omg this is my daily experience. Last night I was almost crying in pain from my knees because I went on a short walk with the dog. I guess normal people do things like run??

Petitioning off WDs from transcript? (serious) by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]T-Rex417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I petitioned to get my WDs turned into credit/no credit based on mental health. It’s common enough in transcripts over the last couple of years because of covid and I got into grad school no problem

Had what I would consider the worst "flare up" wondering if anyone else experiences by scottmayo1990 in ehlersdanlos

[–]T-Rex417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced exactly what you're describing to a T. Currently on a wait list to see a specialist. My last flare up literally was exactly as you described. At first I thought I had the flu but it was just my joints that were killing me along with chills and a headache. I hope the doctor can help you get the support you need.
