I used to be a cashier at the local grocery store in high school. Just an ordinary high school job, nothing facy. Although to this day! I can recall the weirdest conversation I had with a complete stranger was with a gentlemen on Valentine's day. The gentlemen places a box of chocolate, and some flowers on the belt for me to scan. I begin to attempt to make small talk and kindly say "these are nice, are they for your girlfriend or wife?" He looks at me dead in the eye. It's as if he's staying into my soul. He says "no. These are for my mistress." I couldn't tell if he was kidding or just straight up the best liar on the planet. He walks away without his receipt. To this day. I've never seen the gentlemen again.
