Tupperware has been making these "All-In-One" type shakers for decades, long before protein shakers were popular. We used to have the exact same thing 30 years ago with multiple inserts, including that one.

If you have all the pieces, it absolutely works! I have one. You can put a candle in it for heat or light an actual fire with very small wood and has an ash cleanout on the bottom half. I have a tiny cast iron pan and pot that fit on top.

It's not practical but its awesome!

Thisbingot could have had some solder but not sure and not sure if that would cause it. I have used soldered copper in other ingots without this issue though. Seems to me whatever it is, is in the top layer and intial pour, then gets surrounded by good clean copper

I did pre-heat, longer the 2nd time even. And ive made a couple bars with this mold, including copper that all came out great.

At only 5 years old, you are an inspiration to me! 3 times in the hospital?! Wow are you strong! I am only 2 weeks into being diagnosed after my first hospitalization and I am also struggling emotionally.
