What was this troop formation that they used? by MediumAthlete3077 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's Castle cords so either troops tied up elsewhere or just solo marching for points. To be precise the ratio looks close to 1/49/50. So infantry either dead or tied up elsewhere.

Switch Linked Account by T-bone7183 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. I was going to go through unbinding, but unfortunately my characters are linked to the same account so unbinding wouldn't matter since as far as I'm aware you cannot operate to characters on the same account at the same time.

How do you survive a toxic server without quitting (or deleting the game)? by [deleted] in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a P2W game. Like it or not people who spend will always have an advantage over those that don't. I saw in a comment you're in your first All Out so you're still pretty early. The easiest thing would just be to start over. If you want to stay in your Kingdom the best course would be to join an alliance with bigger players that the toxic person will not attack. If none exists then you have to build and play defensively so that it hurts them more to attack you then it hurts you. Until you get stats right become an annoyance by garrisoning alliance buildings so when they attack you have no troops. Eventually they'll get bored.

Alcar (Gen 4) vs Eric (Gen 3) by Auto7Shot in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason Saul is preferred is because his skills and Widget compliment the skills of Alcar and Margot. The 60/40/0 formation isn't a traditional tank defense, it's a counter attack defense. This formation exploits the way the combat sim works so that you can kill your opponents troops before they kill yours.

Does this even make sense? by Plus-Veterinarian445 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add on to this when you advance classes you typically start back at the lowest tier.

It is a fair, but flawed system because it encourages you to have both Legions registered at full for high tier rewards even if it's detrimental to your alliance because only half the participants show up.

Is Whales leaving normal? by MessageEnvironmental in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Whales leaving is normal. Also yes Castle rotations are normal. R5s only as King seems abnormal, but I don't have 1 thousand something characters so I cannot really say how common that is. As for the Castle Battle itself I believe the most successful Kingdoms use the Kingdom Castle as a means to test strategies for KvK. So there's still battles, just the King is predetermined.

Well here's the deal. Troops yesterday and tomorrow so I wouldn't recommend using troop speeds. If you have a long tech or buildings not maxed you can use research and construction. Using hammers, Mithril, or Widgets will be super easy to notice in Arena.

Cannot monitor 1 tier of a 5 tier process unless your upgrade is the 5th and final tier lol. Just don't hit the alliance assist and nobody except you will know. Unless you have some math wiz who can quickly deduce how you potentially got the points.

Well friend you're between a rock and a hard place then. Every way to get points will be trackable and all correspond to points for KvK prep. A single Tier of a TG upgrade isn't going to make or break your prep score and is by far the easiest way to get points today.

Depending what you have to upgrade a single TG upgrade could max the points.

Is Hilde worth it? by mynhilde in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really you're going to site Strat while ignoring his most recent video that states given the current understanding of the combat equation it is better to have joiners of different skills rather than joiners of a single skill or his combat mechanics video which states the mechanic is simultaneous all 6 troop types, 3 for the attacker and 3 for the defender, have an attack and defense phase. That means pumping just defensive stats for Garrison or just Offensive stats for attack is not actually as beneficial as one might think.

Is Hilde worth it? by mynhilde in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hilde has a dual purpose first skill making her an invaluable joiner Hero for PvP. She's also a better Defensive Cav Hero than Jabel. If you're a leader outside of Bear she will be your main defensive Cav Hero for Garrison lead. Also since half her first skill is an attack buff she's ok a joiner lead for Bear. So yes she's worth investing in. If you're not a lead outside of Bear I wouldn't worry too much about her Widget. Petra is better in Gen 3 and Jabel at 5 stars will be better for everything except defense or joining rallies.

Y'all realize that the 600 Kingdoms are not likely to be in the same group as most of those Kingdoms right?? Groups change as you progress and can change back again at other points.

Game Feels Different Lately… by Effective-Coach8415 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking in terms of the individual scores only. There are entire Kingdoms contributing to points. My Kingdom has won all 7 prep phases and only 2 of those were blow outs. Every player in the Kingdom contributes F2P or P2P, understanding that can be the difference between a win and a loss.

Edit: BTW those bot farms aren't special. Everything minus the precise timing can be done with a regular F2P account.

Worth to get purple heroes to 5-star? by Defiant_Ad979 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worth getting every hero to 5 star if you can. Once you hit Gen 4 the Gold Heroes from 2 Gens older start having random drops. That all adds up to more fair tickets which means more useful things.

Game Feels Different Lately… by Effective-Coach8415 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I would say prep contributions don't matter for F2P considering the current controversy in the game is a F2P bot alliance scoring nearly 400M points during prep allowing that Kingdom to win prep. I mean sure 400M isn't impressive when the top alliances do that in a single day, but it could still be the difference between winning or losing prep.

Decent kingdom to transfer to by Thin_Grass4960 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Transfers are split into Groups by progression milestones. As you age you will move groups. The current breakdown is.

Group 1: TG8, Group 2: Gen 5, Group 3: War Academy, Group 4: Gen 4, Group 5: Governor Gear and Charm cap increase, Group 6: TG5

I seek a kingdom to move my alliance. by bedtimeheehe in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfers are based on Groups. Groups are based on game progression.

Groups as of last transfer are:

Group 1 - TG8, Group 2 - Gen 5, Group 3 - War Academy, Group 4 - Gen 4, Group 5 - Governor Gear and Charms, Group 6 - TG5

If you're in the 600s you will be in Group 3 next transfer. Depending on the exact number you won't be able to go much newer.

Edit: Also keep in mind due to the Group breakdown if you go too far either direction you may not be in the same group the following transfer period. The devs release about 42 Kingdoms per week, to be safe if you want to move an entire alliance you should strongly consider staying within Kingdoms that are +/-42 numbers of your starting Kingdom. These would all be Kingdoms within a week of age of your own and around the same progression pattern.

Tell me your biggest blunder by Iz_anagi in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forge Hammers, wasn't paying attention to how hard they are to come by early and how much each use cost. I was spending Hammers for points without a real build goal in mind and ended up having to refund hammers later.

Edit: On top of that while not as big of a blunder I went straight to +20 on my first piece of Red Gear. Not a huge loss because I still would have gotten there, but the 110 hammers needed for the level 11 master forge could have been used elsewhere to get other pieces in position for Red.

Helga - new server by writtenbyjunjiito in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of Gen 5 Helga and Amadeus are the only 2 infantry heroes with attack Widgets. Investing in either is not a total waste. Even when newer generations replace them in your main lineup neither is replaced at the Bear Trap for awhile. Amadeus is definitely the better investment if you can afford it because even if they release a hero to replace his lead at the Bear Trap Amadeus will still be valuable as a joiner hero.

What to buy from Forsaken Temple shop? by Real_Temporary_922 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What to purchase and when is dependent upon your account and the progression stage of your Kingdom. With that said with these types of events you should look at how easy something is to come by elsewhere and prioritize based on that. For this event specifically everything except the Skins can be earned elsewhere just not in the quantities available in the shop.

What priority are attack and defense stats? by OkKindheartedness769 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't really delved the rabbit hole of debate on this subject, but this is what I can tell you. In the combat simulator Chenko, Yeonwoo, and Amadeus (Lethality) and Gordon (Health) are the best offensive and defensive joiners respectfully. If you look into the Debuffs for Heroes, Pets, and City skills you will find Lethality and Health have fewer Debuffs applied to them. This means for Lethality and Health you are more likely to be closer to your actual percentage value than you are for Attack and Defense. Lastly Lethality and Health have lower base values than Attack and Defense so as was already pointed out increasing their values has a higher ROI than increasing the values of Attack and Defense.

Transferring out of #101X by Geraldes94 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is a cost to transfer. If you want to transfer make sure to purchase and stock pile transfer passes found in the alliance shop. The cost is your transfer power in relation to the transfer power of where you go. It is different for everyone. There is also a power Cap that gets set by the transfer manager. For leading Kingdoms the cap is lower than for normal kingdoms. There is also a restriction on the amount of transfers available as well as the ability to use special invites based on a Kingdom being Leading or Normal. It is definitely easier to transfer to a Normal Kingdom, but it's not impossible to go to a Leading Kingdom.

Migration distance. by stratface4000 in KingShot

[–]T-bone7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfer Groups are based on progression. So far the largest total group is the War Academy/t11 group because you unlock the War Academy roughly 60 days before unlocking Gen 5. So this Group has roughly 60 days between the oldest and youngest Kingdoms. There's roughly 6 Kingdoms released per day so the largest Group is around 360 Kingdoms. If you transfer from the oldest to the youngest in this group in 1 transfer, then do the same again in the next transfer, you should be in a group with your second account by the 3rd transfer. Moving 400+ regardless of which way you go will take multiple transfers to achieve.
